Welp this tool came a week late had me worried but I needed this because my Brake lines are rusted out and is considering doing them myself even though I Never done a job like this. My brakes are leaking in the rear middle of my car as soon as I step on the brake pedal it's leaking like a faucet

Doesn’t work great on copper nickel line. But will definitely do the job with the right set of hands.

This kit was not at all what I expected from images/descriptions.The cutter wouldnt cut anything, Including nickel-copper tubing.The clamp was labeled only in metric, and wouldnt securely hold any line no matter how tight you got the clamps. (Used a screwdriver/allen tool to tighten even more, still wouldnt hold). Tried steel, coated steel, and nickel copper.The flares also were always oblong or warped on the nickel copper, partially as they would slip too. It wouldnt flare steel and I wouldnt even attempt a stainless line, it wint hold it. Lines would slip thru like hot knife in butter.The dies/inserts also appeared to be poor in quality but beyond the few NC lines attempted, I didnt keep testing and wasting line.The deburring tool was only ok thing in this kit and it was designed so you could do inner and outer tube. However, it was almost too sharp and did remove quite a bit of material.Save your money and get something else. This tool wasted a lot of time and my money.I borrowed a friends tool truck kit and it worked without any issues.

I purchased this tool to repair the 6MM brake line on my 89 Camaro. The clamp bar would not hold the 6MM tubing securely. I clamped the tubing and was able to pull the tubing out of the clamp by hand with little effort.At first I thought the brake line was deteriorated and under size, the brake line measured .2362 which is exactly 6MM. So I know the line was not under sized and causing the issue. Also I noticed the size markings on the clamping bar was incorrect. I only have two flares to make, so I bought an inexpensive tool. The old saying rings true, you get what you pay for. Spend a little more and buy a quality tool.

I replaced brake lines on a Chevy Astro and it worked great.

This is a decent flare tool set. I have a few others and mainly got this one for the double flare dies. I tested it out on some 1/4" copper because I am not yet ready to do the brake lines on my 65' F100. As always it is very important to deburr and file the end of the tubing flat to get a clean flare. I was able to flare and double flare fairly easily. The only hiccup is that you have to use a wrench or something else to turn the thumb screws all the way tight or the tubing will slip.The quality of all of the parts seems about right for the $22 price tag. I did not like the fact that the handle bar for the flare screw is only held on with vinyl caps and not some press or dent on the end. All it will take is losing a cap and the bar will be gone. The cutter is very small so there isn't much leverage but it cuts well. The deburring tool is not great. It worked ok on copper but I doubt it would do much at all on steel or stainless steel.It actually came with instructions which are actually in pretty decent English, the only problem is there is no place to store the inside the plastic case so they'll get lost pretty quickly.This is by no means as good as my eccentric flare but that cost me $60 years ago but I was making a lot of flares. It will certainly do the job for the occasional flare and I will definitely be using it for some upcoming brake line work.
