You should see the state of my dusters when I polish the furniture I've used it on - it comes off for ages afterwards! Imagine that on your clothes - you'd never get it out! The smell is quite strong but not unpleasant, and one can almost feel the wood being nourished with each application. This is my current go-to polish for larger wooden items (along with the excellent Renaissance micro-crystalline wax polish, which I use for smaller or more specialist items). Fiddes is a lovely soft polish; one tin will go a long way when it is used judiciously.
