O2 total waste of time and money
I ordered this sim card online so that I did not have to visit an actual shop. Tried topping it up via the top up service but it couldn't process the order as O2's top up service wasn't working. To top up I have to visit my closest branch which is 30 minutes away. Not worth the frustration. Where's the service O2?

PAINFUL setup
I have recently purchased a number of prepay SIM cards, I need one for a router and have been trying them out with the intention of keeping whichever one best suits... hint: It isn't going to be this one. Vodafone: Here is your SIM, you want some credit, go add some on the website! <Adds a tenner> Here is your package for the month .... a month later, a handy text telling me "That tenner is about to run out mate, might want to add another." Lebara: Here is your SIM, set up an account first if you want to manage it... <Suspiciously eyes account sign up, does so anyway> Cheers bud, you don't even need to top this up until next month, but when you do just log back in here! O2: Insert SIM, sim has no credit so it doesn't work... include pamphlet says I should sign up for an account, <notice that O2 is now part of Virgin, oh dear, this won't end well> which I try to do but it insists on having 2FA... I can't use the SIM I just got because, it has no credit and can't receive any texts... so I begrudgingly give them the number of my contract phone (will I regret this?). This gets me an account, which then demands to know the details of my favourite childhood street or some such nonsense. Anyhoooo... I'm in, "Add Product" ... I give it the number of the SIM, it insists that it has to send a 6digit code to that number... a number which currently doesn't work, because it has no credit, which I'm trying to add to my account to so that I can add credit! O2 doesn't seem to provide a link for an anonymous topup so I have to search Google to find it for me... find it... Anonymous topup link can see my login cookie for O2 and goes into an endless authenticate and redirect loop. Open incognito tab, do anonymous top up so that the O2 sim can finally receive texts! At this point, realising that there is an anonymous topup link hidden somewhere, I realise that setting up an account was unnecessary, I realise that O2 intentionally obfuscated this process to get me to enter all of my contact details. <SIGH> Oh well, I now have the account setup so I might aswell add the prepay SIM to it. Add number, get sent a code, finally am able to receive the code and.... "You can't add prepay phones to your account right now, this might be a technical problem?" Try to navigate the site to shut down the account which I clearly don't need, it doesn't seem possible and it keeps asking me to login or sign-up, every time I click login it takes me to a dashboard as if I'm already logged in... so why does it keep asking?! Decide that I should at least, if I can't shut down the account, remove my contract phone from the contact details and replace it with the now working pre-pay SIM so that I at least don't get spammed on my daily... Website UI changes mid flow, all the options are different, the link to manage my contact details has moved... and now it says I do have the pre-pay phone which it previously said I couldn't register showing up?? Give up, close browsers, go home after half an hour of messing around with this hell of a setup process. My advice based on my experiments so far is: If you need a prepay SIM for infrequent use, get the Lebara one. They use the same network as Vodafone but offer smaller (fiver) bundles.

Pleased with purchase.

Do not buy this product - it is promoted as Unlimited minutes and texts when in fact you are paying 10 GDB for a sim that has no value. I purchased in Jan for a March UK trip and now the return date has passed before I could activate in the UK

I was able to activate the card and use it within a day. O2 has the best customer service. Including transferring my balance from my lost sim. I received the sim card by mail from the Amazon merchants within a few days. Delivery was faster than expected.
