Finally, You Sony A77 owners can have a clean sensor.
I have been tolerating dust on my sensor (Sony A77) for way tooo long. I finally plucked up the courage to have ago. After ensuring I was working in a clean area I removed the lens clicked back the mirror (no need remove it) and applied orange gel cleaning stick squarely on the sensor and pulled it off slightly off square to the sensor surface. Do this all over the sensor. My first attempt removed 95% of the spots (I said it was bad) one more pass after using the sticky paper as instructed to remove "stuff" from the gel, gave me a perfect result! Why did I wait, soooo long!!! No more photoshopping out the dust spots. A great product that actually works. Also it arrived quickly!

Left horrible mark on first use
I used this item to try and clean my Sony A7r Sensor. There must have been a residue build up already on the gel pad as the first touch to the sensor made a horrible smear. I had already used the paper to try and get rid of any excess dust that may have been on the pad but it obviously didn't remove this residue.I'm now faced with a bill to have this professionally cleaned to remove this residue on my sensor. It's worth noting that after the initial application the sensor stick worked as it should, so it was clearly just a contamination on the end of the stick from new, so I guess it's pot luck as to whether you get a clean one or not.

A great solution for a clean sensor
A great solution for a clean sensor.Note: The first time I opened the product and used the stick, I took precautions and used it on the back screen of my camera, then cleaned the stick with the sticky paper provided and then proceeded to use the stick on the sensor of my Sony A7s - worked perfectly without leaving any marks.

It's not perfect but it's safer & easier than wet cleaning
I've been using the Eyelead gel pen for nearly two years now. And being a Sony mirrorless user and a professiona wedding photographer. Trust me when I say I use this REGULARLY!Reading other reviews, I'm left wondering how much people used it before deciding it was rubbish. Or if they simply expected too much. There is no perfect solution for cleaning your sensor. I've had wet cleans, leave smear marks all over my sensor and suspect one or two in the distant past have actually scratched my sensor (back in my Nikon days)The Eyelead is easy to use but from experience, it's worth dabbing the head several times on the sticky paper before you start. You can do the sides too. Just to make sure any gunk and residue is stuck to the paper, not your head. Then you can use it to spot clean your sensor. Most of the time, the eyelead sticky pen is enough. If not, you can resort to a wet clean. Which in my opinion takes longer and can be messier.I used to use the green pen so know that was stickier. However, it proved to be too sticky for Sony sensors, hence why they released this version. It's definitely less sticky but just about sticky enough. In short, this is a useful tool to have in your arsenal but probably will not replace your need to wet clean occasionally.

Very fine experience.
The reason for ordering the cleaning kit from England was the good price. The delivery was as quick as I could expect and everything was ok. Rogitech shouldn’t be surprised to get more orders from me.

Removes large dust particles only; may as well use swabs and save money
Just used it on my XPro2 and it successfully removed large dust particles that wouldn't come off using a blower. It completely failed to remove finer dust though and I had to use PixelPeeper/JJC swabs and ROR fluid, together with a Zeiss cleaning liquid to fully clean the sensor.

Disappointed
Be very careful with this product. I bought this directly from UK Amazon (orange head version for Sony cameras), I was very careful to not to touch anything with sticky top, applied according to manual on my Sony A6000 and it left HUGE smear on my sensor (attached test shot). I'm not sure if this is knock off version or genuine, but it looks genuine. I read a lot of about knock off versions, but there is no clear way how to check this, on Eyelead webpage is not even picture of this orange stick.I had to do wet cleaning with aeroclipse fluid to clean the sensor again.

Hit and miss
I bought the orange Eyelead and it worked perfectly on my Sony A7s II - very neatly and cleanly picking up dust with light dabs and leaving no residue, the Eyelead did not feel like it was sticking to the sensor in any way. This is unsurprising as the A7s II's sensor seems to repel dust anyway.I can only give this 3 starts as it is also promoted for use with Leica (as marked on the packaging) and it left very heavy residue on the sensor of a Leica M10 and also Leica M 262 I tried to clean - luckily any residue is easily and completely removed with a few passes of a microfibre swab and sensor cleaning fluid, however for a moment was quite stressful. In this instance the Eyelead felt like it was sticking to the sensor surface, using the same successful technique used on the A7s II , and it was also making an audible sound when pulled away. There seems to be mixed reviews as to which colour (Orange / Blue) works with various cameras, including mixed reports within some Leica and Sony models and even some Sony users reporting residue using the Orange version. Clearly the manufacturer needs to either do more testing with sensor types and models or refine their product or quality control to work as indicated. It's not a cheap product so there really is no excuse.

Ruined my Sony A7R Sensor
I almost never write reviews and I don't like to be negative but I don't want what happened to me to happen to any of the other potential buyers of this product. First let me say that I read the instructions carefully. The instructions caution the user to not allow the sticky head to remain in contact with the sensor for any length of time. When I used the sensor cleaner the adhesive that traps the dirt adhered to my sensor! It cost me over $400 to have the camera repaired. I was overly cautious so that I did not allow the sticky head to remain on the sensor for any length of time at all. If after reading this you still want to give this a try I would highly recommend that you take a piece of glass or a filter and try it on the filter to get the feel for how short of period time is required to leave the sticky head on the sensor without the glue sticking to the sensor.Customer service? I got the email from the seller's asking me to testify that they had a great product. I told them of my experience and my recommendations for testing the cleaning stick on another piece of glass prior to using it on a camera sensor but no response.

Disastro
