Well, it turns out that these have great action and catch fish. Took my second biggest smallmouth of the year not long ago on a black and purple one of these that I'd painted.The reason I'm giving 4 stars is that the quality control and craftsmanship is just slightly lacking. Which would make these hard to sell as a custom painted lure if one were so inclined. There were quite a few flaws in the plastic at the seams (I'm assuming from putting them together) that paint wouldn't completely cover up on many of the blanks, and a few of them had some loose (just slightly wiggly) bills. However once painted and epoxied, the looseness was gone and became a non issue. I will say that all of the baits did have proper action without having to tune. All in all, these are a good buy if you're just painting for fun and/or giving lures away.
