Wonderful series, perfect for girls aged 8-12

My daughter loves these books from age 2, great night time read.

A brilliant read; totally inspirational and a true role model for creative and energetic minds. Coco Chanel was a name I was familiar with and knew vaguely why she was famous but this little book designed for children brought me a potted biography that was both interesting and informative. So many kids could fall by the wayside due to ill fortune or insurmountable circumstances. Yet, little Gabrielle Chanel overcame the loss of her Mum and an interrupted education. Being placed into a Catholic Orphanage, as a quiet child, she could have just withdrawn, especially when her differences were met with suspicion by the Nuns and mistrust by her peers. Yet, she rose above the ridicule and isolation and maintained her passion to learn to sew and make things. Her creativity also enabled her to problem solve and these traits led her to become a respected and much sought after designer. Young children will enjoy the simple text and the laid back illustrations with their rich contrast of colours throughout. I love this series and the adult summary at the end, with real photographs and pointers where to read more about Coco. This is what has made this an enduring selection of books, Little People, Big Dreams, long may they continue.

I have lots of designer books around the house as display which my daughter loves and wanted one of her own! This little book is the perfect addition to her bedroom and is great value.

Once again, another gem of a book! Me and my family loved this story, it's so interesting, well told and the illustrations are beautiful. Really recommend!

Love these books. Great illustrations and I love the fact they tell the stories of real men and women who kids can look up to and learn about icons in history. Also love how kids can relate to to them. Even at 18 months old kids love the illustrations.

The Coco Chanel was the first book in the series that I bought for my daughter. As with all of these books the illustrations are beautiful and there is enough information to tell a story but not too much that you lose the interest of young children. I love them all!

Soy el fan número uno de esta serie de libros, simplemente me fascinan. Me gustan las ilustraciones, la historia y el mensaje que siempre tratan de transmitir. Busco inspirar a mis hijos a que sigan grandes ejemplos de gente extraordinaria. No sé si lo lograré, pero mientras nos divertimos mucho con estas lecturas.

Such a beautiful and inspirational book. I know we will read it a lot as my baby grows bigger.
