Hardcastle 250Kg Adjustable Weight Bench & Squat Rack Set

Bought as an alternative to gym membership as I only use the bench, power rack and free weights for my workout and this was a great choice.Once set up this is really sturdy and feels like it will hold the promised 250kg without any issues. I bought with a 7" Olympic bar (for the ultimate "gym" feel) and it hasn't disappointed. The rack is easily adjusted for a shorter bar and the increments allow it to be adjusted until perfect for your space or other equipment.Easy to set up and adjust the height of the rack for use as a bench press or squat rack. I was slightly apprehensive that at 6"2' I would struggle to use this as a squat rack however that was unfounded and it works a charm. The spotter levels can be easily adjusted with each workout so the risk of working out without a spotter is minimised so I have no concerns using this as a solo set up in the garage.Putting together was straightforward and everything fits nicely without the need to force them and the components feel quality. I was able to put both the rack and the bench together alone so there's no need for a second person at that stage.Would recommend this set to anyone that asks as it really feels like a commercial set and definitely a good buy. At the price this makes it a real alternative to monthly gym membership if you're starting on free weights and I would imagine this equipment will keep you satisfied well into your fitness future.

Happy with the Hardcastle weight bench and squat set.easy to assemble and solid. Rubber sleave that's the only thing stopped me giving five stars they don't come with this product so Paint work will get damaged with out them on the squat rack

Good solid kit but would advise using it with a 7ft bar. Because The weights are close to the spotter there isnt much play when putting the bar back on the spotter after a set. I cant because my gyms in the shed and its 7 x 7 i know its not the fault of the kit but thought it would be worth a mention. Still a 5 star rating because if i could have a 7 ft bar it would be perfect.

Heavy duty, great for my at home training. Easy to put together and has spotter bars to allow you confidence to lift heavily with out fear of dropping the barbell.

Strong and sturdy build. Can easily take bars over 100kg and reliable...even when I have had a wobble during squats. Don't think its mentioned anywhere, but the pins are spring loaded so no need to unscrew each time you adjust the support bars etc. Only criticism is that one of my pins has bent in the bench, but still usable.
