Philips HQ8/50 Replacement Shaving Heads

Bought these for my partner, he assured me that they are very good 😁

Being able to replace the blades and covers is very useful. Extends the life of the machine.

These are a huge improvement over worn out blades. They have both slots and round holes which I find work really well. I bought a new more modern Philips razor (removable head type) but didn’t like it and went back to my older design razor using these blades. It’s battery still lasts longer than the new design! And it’s more ergonic in use. Yes, the new model is a downgrade! I wish the blades were cheaper but still bought a second set for when these wear out.

Restored the closeness of the shave as it’s a genuine Philips head set. Bought a cheap Chinese version before and they don’t last! Will only buy genuine Philips in future!

There seem to be many buying options. I decided to pay top dollar because I wanted genuine Phillips replacements which would last 2 y years and the advert implied that this was what I was buying. Anyway, I got a Norelco box with the blades inside and the wording on the box said that the blades should be replaced after 12 months. I found this slightly disconcerting. The blades fit well, are of identical design to the originals and certainly do the job but I could definitely have bought the same thing much cheaper (and got a free brush for what it is worth). The razor only cost £40+ when I bought it so I reckon the replacements are ludicrously overpriced.

I bought a cheaper set from eBay but never got a very smooth shave. So, despite the higher cost I decided to buy a set of genuine Philips heads. They are so much better than the copies and give me a very smooth shave. They are worth the extra cost.

This is the second time I have bought new shaver heads for my husband's razor. Although Phillips recommend changing them every two years, looking over past orders I discovered that the last set lasted four! They are quick and easy to change and the razor is then as good as new. I think they are a tad dear, but still much cheaper than buying a new razor, with the added bonus of keeping the carbon footprint lower.

Le mie lame hanno incominciato a tagliare poco dopo 3 anni di uso intenso (e vari viaggi intorno per il mondo in cui forse ho trattato un po male il tutto). Con 25 € ho comprate queste lame che sono identiche a quelle dei nuovi modelli in commercio. Ora il mio vecchio philips taglia bene e con precisione (la meccanica è sempre buona e non vedo grande differenza con i nuovi modelli). Un consiglio è quello di fare una foto di come sono montati i supporti che affrancano le lame in modo da rimontarli correttamente. La sostituzione delle lame non richiede più di 5 min.

En remplacement des têtes de mon rasoir série PT. A l'origine les lames s'appelaient "comfortcut". Le nom a changé mais celle ci sont adaptées, identiques, avec moins de plastique même si les autres n'ont pas posé de problème de solidité. Le fabricant conseille un changement tous les deux ans et j'ai utilisé les précédentes trois ans. Donc un rapport qualité prix intéressant même si on considère que le prix de ces têtes représentent 1/3 du prix du rasoir... Suffisantes pour un rasage quotidien ou même pour un rasage tous les deux ou trois jours. C'est des Phillips, il existe des lames chinoises beaucoup moins chères mais...méfiance...
