I love the flannel look but I wish this was a bit thicker

This is a lovely shirt that has washed without the usual flannel problem of becoming a wrinkly mess. The checked fabric is not 'lumberjack' thick, but is still soft and good quality, and the sleeves and hood are thick sweatshirt material. Was very happy to find that this could be worn after a wash without needing an iron. My son is an average sized 14 yo (wears XL Youth size, usually) and after the first wash, the S size drew up slightly and fits him perfectly. I agree with other commentators that this item comes very small and should be ordered accordingly, possibly going up even 2 sizes above your normal size, depending on how you want it to fit. There are darts on the back, which indicate a more tailored/slim cut than the usual button down shirt. The only reason I've given this product 4 instead of 5 stars is the unusually small size of the adult sizes.

Nice light fabric. Heavier on the hood. Tighter across the back and shoulders than I would expect from a large size.

I just wanted to have slimmer lo ger sleeves, but I guess it was meant to roll up, which I'll try very soon ( autumn)

Very happy overall, XL just about fits, I doubt most will gave an issue with that though. Comfortable, looks great and just what I wanted.
