Nootie Cucumber Melon Soothing with Aloe and Oatmeal Pet Shampoo, 16 oz, white

Bought because of sensitive sore doggy skin but it works well on my (scalp) excema too! I always test my dogs' dog-shampoos and found this one very gentle and creamy which lathers very well. It gets the skin clean. The lovely fragrance of 'melon and cucumber', unfortunately dissipates a couple of days later though. Poor Oscar Dandelion, my long-haired Chihuahua, has an awful problem with sensitive skin where he scratches until it bleeds, and Nootie's shampoo seems to quieten the inflammation. I also changed his diet to a wheat-free one - it's early days yet to see whether his diet does contribute to his sensitive skin. He is a white/cream-haired dog so I think sensitive skin may be a common problem relating to hair colour.Recommended!!!

I have used this product for a number of years on my soft coated wheaten terrier, Polly, who had previously always itched after being bathed. And we both loved it, she smelt lovely and didn't itch.Unfortunately the makers have changed the preservative from kathon cg to phenoxyethanol as apparently kathon cg has been reported to cause issues . But, as with many things, what suits one doesn't necessarily suit another and this has been the case here. I purchased a new bottle last week to give to my groomer on friday 15th and oh how Polly has itched since then, chewing her feet her legs and anywhere she can get at. Having to live in the "cone of shame" does not a happy dog make!

I bought this for my dog who is experiencing bed rashes on her stomach. I didn’t know what was causing the rash. But using this every few days has cured her bad rash. She has stopped scratching and my normal dog has returned. The smell is wonderful (I want to use it). So the dog smells great. But into Italy it only got her to smell good for a few hours. That was because she had open sores with her rash, the sore smelled a bit. But now she no longer has a rash I shampoo her once a week. She smells lovely now for a few days. This was the last thing to do before going to the vets. So by buying this shampoo I have saved myself some money. I probably would have taken her to the vets sooner. But we were in lockdown with the coronavirus. So I couldn’t see the vet very easily without risk. I tried all sorts of creams. But this did the job. I think it was an allergy but I’m not entirely sure. But it doesn’t matter now. The rash has gone. Thank god. Highly recommended this

We have a whippet with a dark coat and one layer of fur - we found other shampoos would leave a flaky affect on her coat after drying - this one does not. The consistency is quite thick but it easily distributes on her fur and you do not need a lot. Rinses well and leaves no residue and it cleans! Great smell - nice and fresh and no wet dog smell after use but she only has a short coat. Would not use any other shampoo now and we bought it for my daughter’s puppy. Cannot recommend enough.

I've used this product for the last 4 year's and it's always helped with my dogs scratching. Smells good and gives a nice feel to his coat. Only used every 14 days or so and kinda wears off in my experience after 5 days. I use the spray in conjunction with the shampoo and I've not had any issues what's so ever.

I’ve been using this on my dachshund for 8 years - she has delicate skin and this never irritates it. The smell is unreal and it lasts a really long time...

Made far too much thick lather, which is hard to rinse out. Also, the smell is so faint I couldn’t smell it off our little dog at all.

Our pointer gets a rash after being in the grass even when it was at its worst this took care of it in a few washes (I would always recommend seeing a vet as problems can differ) but this is perfect for sensitive souls and smells amazing
