Friends Grace (Selena Gomez) and Emma (Katie Cassidy) are going on a trip to Paris to celebrate Grace's graduation, but find themselves saddled with Emma's soon-to-be stepsister Meg (Leighton Meester), who's just about as different from Emma and Grace as is humanly possible. The trip starts out rushed and much less glamorous than the girls anticipated, but when Grace is mistaken for British heiress Cordelia Winthrop Scott, the girls suddenly find themselves in the lap of luxury and wind up at a charity event in Monte Carlo. Along the way, each of the girls meets a boy who helps them to mature and discover what's truly important in their lives. This movie has essentially been done before (think The Lizzie McGuire Movie and Cheetah Girls 2), and even with the star power of Gomez, this rendition pales in comparison. Throw in the unlikely pairing of Cassidy and Gomez as friends and contemporaries despite their significant age difference, and the abrupt personality switch that Meester's character undergoes, and the whole film comes off as pretty unbelievable to those over 12-years-old. However, tweens are likely to find the characters and situation enticing enough, especially when combined with the draw of Disney Channel icon Gomez, to earn the film a passing score. Leighton Meester (my main motivation for watching) did a good job playing a character fairly removed from the Gossip Girl character that she's come to be associated with, while Katie Cassidy and leading lady Selena Gomez do well too. While the plot is (unsurprisingly?) silly in parts, it makes up for it with the use of exotic locations such as Paris, Machu Picchu and Romania, and a supporting cast including Andie McDowell and the late Cory Monteith.

Perfect feel good movie
I love everything about this movie, from the all-star cast to the styling everything is perfect. I never knew I needed to see Selena Gomez and Leighton Meester in the same movie until I watched this. A fun, light film
Not being a member of the target audience for this film, I found it pretty enjoyable. Leighton Meester (my main motivation for watching) did a good job playing a character fairly removed from the Gossip Girl character that she's come to be associated with, while Katie Cassidy and leading lady Selena Gomez do well too. Lovely film
Comedy romance that follows 2 sisters and a friend who have never been out of Texas. They travel to Paris but end up in Monte Carlo through mistaken identity. I really enjoyed this film even though it is a little cheesy in places. There is some upbeat music and good old-fashioned romance and Selena does well to play 2 different parts. Also starring Leighton meester and Catherine tate

lovely film which shows friends who have the opportunity to be someone they aren't for a few days live in the life of luxury and enjoy a dream holiday for free

Lightweight film to see when you are tired.
I would recommend it to young girls, women who like romantic comedies. It wasn't bad and I will probably see it again when there is nothing better to do.

Had to purchase a second time
I was charged twice for this item. Why was this? The second time, the sound quality was not good and asian subtitles appeared which I was not able to get rid of. I am puzzled. The first time I bought this, all was fine

First I rented it then I bought it. This is a fun movie that will take repeated viewings and is suitable for the entire family. I had read nothing about the movie but a very brief synopsis so we watched it for the first time with an open mind. As with all movies, it makes a set of assumptions which you either can, or cannot buy into. I've now read some of the reviews and have noted both kinds of responses, those from viewers who could and those who couldn't. The movie is light-hearted, fun, and fast-paced and both my wife and I were laughing out loud as we watched the story progress. I haven't checked, but it certainly looks like the opening of the movie was set in Texas, it looks like the filming took place somewhere in the western part of Texas for sure. The majority of the movie is set in Paris and Monte Carlo and offers the beautiful scenery usually associated with those locations. Although I rented the movie because it sounded like a chick flick my wife would enjoy, it turned out we both had fun with it and will enjoy watching it again sometime so now I've bought the movie. If you enjoyed the Meg Ryan, Tom Hanks sort of romantic comedy then I suspect you'll enjoy this one too.
