No wonder people rate this item five stars. It's excellent. It even made me love my shower head more. Beautiful. I haven't enjoyed my shower like this before. This items seems to increase the intensity or pressure of the flow which is fantastic! I bought a shower head with the filter thing which didn't give me that wide flow of water, I wasn't feeling the water on my body tho the pressure wasn't so bad but wasn't satisfactory. So I decided to try just the filter and keep my shower head as I love my shower head, it's got a wide flow of water. And it worked. So yes, it's a yes from me. 100% recommended. It also comes with an extra filter. It even came with a cellotape which incident use cos it didn't leak at all. Thisnisna great product I must say. Nice one.Only thing you need to know is, it's quite heavy and bulky. I wouldn't recommend it for older people or people who will struggle with things that have weight. I'm not being funny, this item has weight, and bulky too, which I don't mind. Initially i thought the weight was gonna affect its staying put on the shower rail/holder but it didn't. It's very well made. This is what I'm talking about. When you make something, let the consumer enjoy it. Since i started using this filter, believe it or not, i have stopped itching. Before i would itch like mad! Even when i'm in the shower showering. But now, i can't believe, sometimes i feel like something is not right lol because my body has gone so quiet. I am used to itching. I knew it was the water. This item is highly recommended.UPDATE: Purchased this item 15th March 2018 I think. This is 30th April 2018, still enjoying the goodness.

Doesn't do anything, waste of money. Same amount of limescale builds up. Easy to install but quite heavy, broke shower holder, had to buy a new one.

It feels well made, looks good and was easy to fit. If however, you lift your shower head out to rinse etc, (luckily I don't) you will notice it's pretty heavy as it becomes part of the shower head. I guess you may be able to put it at the bottom end of hose (depends on your shower arrangement) I could, though didn't need to, but my daughter couldn't. Do be careful when opening, as the tiny hose filters are loose in the packaging, and are easily lost!!! Tip into a tray or big dish, NOT the sink or bath without the plug...

I live in a very hard water area, I usually descale the "overhead" shower head every 3-4 months otherwise it would get clogged up with limescale and give a less than satisfying shower. I bought this on impulse during a lightening sale, in fact, I almost cancelled it after buying thinking it was at best a "gimmick". Still it arrived the next day, and I thought what the hell might as well fit it now.During fitting I was going to descale the shower head but i had run out of descaling product, so instead I just fitted this as per the instructions. One thing is it's quite large so it made the shower head lower, for me this was a worry I'm tall and got an overhead shower fitted so I could stand in the shower. Anyhows, no problems, I was still able to stand under the shower with this monster filter installed. If you are thinking of installing it on a hand held shower it will need to be fitted at the opposite end of the shower head.So the device fitted perfectly, no need for the plumbers tape (supplied), I turned on the shower... Well, I was impressed, I noticed the water was initially a little black due to the carbon filter but that soon cleared. What was also very noticeable was the amount of limescale it was pushing out of the shower head, it was basically descaling the shower head for me :D..So now I'm happy, my shower head is clearer, the water is "softer", soap lathers up quicker , this product does appear to work. Only real issue will be when I used the supplied filters up, as there doesn't seem to be a replacement filter to purchase. That is annoying... but I wouldn't go back after using this product, worse case, I'll buy another one next year..

I live in a hard water area so limescale is always an issue so I thought I would try a shower filter. I have a hand held shower on a flexi hose and had thought to attach the filter between the tap unit and the hose. When it arrived it was larger than I had thought and had to be fitted between the hose and shower head. The unit is twice the weight of the shower head and about half the length. The unit works fine but next time I would go for a more slender unit I can fit in a less obvious position.

Perhaps the cartridges I received were faulty but the first one fitted loosely inside the container and after 2-3 weeks doesn't filter anymore(not 6 -12 months as stated). I know this as my skin gets very sensitive and dry from the un-filtered shower water. I am onto the second cartridge already. I am not pleased with this purchase and it seems other customers did not experience this defect. I purchased this in the first week of Feb 18 which validates why I am unhappy with this purchase

Great product for cleaning the limescale from the water. The water is definitely softer and I don't spend so much time cleaning the bathroom. Very happy with this purchase and will be using from now on. Easy to fit and no leaking - even when used with the pump.

Didn’t even fit this in the end. The quality was awful. Shiny plastic that was flimsy to the touch. Returned it straight away as it certainly looked cheap and tacky.
