Monopoly Empire Board Game

This is a modified Monopoly for four players maximum. There are nine squares down each side. The “property” squares are now “Company” squares and when you buy the company (eg. Samsung, Coca Cola), priced according to its capitalisation, you can stack their advertising billboard in your (plastic) “corporate tower”. (Think of the neon advertising in Times Square.) The person who fills up their tower first wins (and the companies have different sized billboards). When you land on a company owned by another player the rent you pay is the total value of their tower (billboards), so as such there are no “cheap” or “expensive” areas to land on.There are lots of twists to this game especially if four play. As well as the usual ”chance” cards there are cards that for example enable you to block any action against you, and enable you to collect rent when you should pay it. One side of one dice enables you to swap the top billboards between any two players, so you can peg back the leader a bit.Games for us last from 20 to 60 minutes.I like this game – it’s attractively colourful with excellent playing pieces. Because of its relative simplicity it may not be as playable as “normal” monopoly.One last thing – the rules are (thankfully) concise, but this means certain flavours of certain situations are not covered. So we’ve had to invent a rule or two. No problem though.

This game is brilliant - my 8 year old and 12 year old loved it - as did all their friends that popped in during the Christmas holidays.WE love playing it as a family and think the elements of it that relate to the business world are brilliant that the kids can grasp them so young.A fun way to teach business skills!Also a game goes quickly so you are not stuck playing like a normal monopoly game and also as its fun you actually want to play it!

a very very good idea for a different version of monopoly i think with many twists in a game which to and fros, then suddenly from an almost winning position your back to almost square one in a round of moves. we were playing for what must have been 3+ hours and each player of the four of us came close to winning, some a small board from winning, and some players on numerous occasions too. anyone who likes their monopoly fast then this is for them. the rival tower tax is a personal favorite of mine which in our game ensured winning seemed impossible...a small tip those water works and elecy boards come in handy as you start filling the board. i'd recommend this game to anyone over the age 8yrs

A great game only reason that it didn't get 5 stars is due to how quickly games can end.This is a fantastic variant and very re-playable.I would disagree with the age guide being 8+ it's a very easy game to get the hang of. Go round the board buy companies fill your tower then you win. The other small rules are easy to explain or leave out to involve the whole family.

Its an ok game for I say under 12s, shame you can only play up to 4 players, the game is only slightly like the original Monopoly, this game a lot quicker to finish.

My eldest son got this for his 8th birthday and we have played it as a family, including our 5 1/2yr old. It is a quicker game than traditional monopoly so it keeps the interest of our younger son. It is simple to pick up the rules and the instruction guide is very easy to understand if children were playing alone. a great game for miserable afternoons!

A great little game with everything on the board more up to date and relative to brands children know. Brought this for my 10 year old nephew who understood the game and was very excited with his new birthday present. We played our first game with teenagers, nephew and parents too, it was lots of fun. Well worth the money and would recommend buying.

My 8 and 10 year old enjoy this game. They like the original monopoly but as an adult I don't. I never play the original but this game was fun and short to play. Games range between 15 - 30 minutes and this is enough for me who finds the original monopoly boring. My 8 year old just said that it is a really fun game to entertain children:-)

Fanstastic Game!! Kids loved it.This is a game for both kids and parents! The pieces are of American quality - which is a pleasure to play.This is a wonderful twist to the usual monopoly - which will make your kids play this more often than the older monopoly

A me questa versione non piace (i marchi commerciali al posto delle vie non mi convincono affatto), ma era un regalo su richiesta ed è stato molto gradito, anche perché non è facile da trovare nei negozi di giocattoli. E' arrivato il giorno previsto ben impacchettato. Le istruzioni sono in inglese, come specificato).

It's a great deal for monopoly lovers. The product is new and includes the original plastic wrapping. The game itself is a bit different from the original monopoly (is shorter in time), but it is also very amusing. Recommended.
