Leeds (Pevsner Architectural Guides: City Guides): Pevsner City Guide
R**N
An essential guide to the city
An excellent little book, crammed full of the most interesting information and background to this fair city. Well illustrated and the text is approachable yet maintains the degree of research and technical information that puts it in the top drawer. Some very useful walking tours which cover an astonishing range of sights and topics. Enough to fill a week of urban rambling, make sure you read up on your chosen places beforehand and you will find some very interesting buildings and places that you might never realise were there. Splendid.

Welcome back Professor Pevsner
Susan Wrathmell's Leeds is a wonderful piece of work. It arrived this morning and I wrote the rest of the day off. It is beautifully designed, full of amazing photograhs (I've lived in Leeds for 45 years and it's given me a list of places to visit - and I thought I knew the city). SW's writing is sharp, witty, explicit and cultured. The whole composition gets my five star award. It will take its place alongside my other three Pevsner guides to Yorkshire - Welcome back Professor.PS. And there are even mentions of pubs in this guide.

Good Guiding!
A very rewarding book, that brings Pevsners buildings upto date, with useful routes around the city.
