If you want a phone to be a phone!
Bought this as a Christmas present for my husband as the rest of the family all have the same phone and his old Samsung was dying. He is delighted with the phone and happy to have several other people to guide him in its use. This is not an ideal smartphone for someone who is constantly online. It is a great phone for people like us who use it as a phone.

For a relatively inexpensive phone this is pretty impressive. Having used a succession of Samsung models in a similar price bracket, this beats them all in terms of speed, ease of use, looks and layout. The larger screen size and quality is also remarkable for the price. Best of all, the battery life is really good even with wifi turned on all the time.

An economical purchase for the 'average user'
This LG Smartphone is relative basic in its functions, however, for the average user's needs it is fairly priced and straightforward to use. The battery life is quite good and the screen display adequately sharp. The only negative is the rear positioning of the on/off switch which is surprisingly close, in fact, between the two volume controls. I have produced a screen in thin plastic to shield the two volume controls, which now allows me to locate the on/off button quite easily, even in the dark!

Replace with 2017 version!! Otherwise memory insufficient for use even as a phone.
Eventually had to return as impossible to use as a Smartphone. Memory taken up by pre-installed Apps, once connected to wi-fi their updates took all the space. Was unable to update Apps for last few months, couldn't even receive texts as "memory full" although had virtually nothing except existing Apps, even with 32GB external memory. Could only save limited data (eg photos) to card, rest were swallowed up. Returned for refund & bought the modified LG K8 2017. So far, much better as 16 GB instead of 8GB which allows for pre-installed Apps & their regular updates to run as they should, leaving free space for normal day to day usage. Still using same memory card, photos etc as before, but in the background the phone can function correctly without "No space" alerts taking over & preventing basic use.

Nice phone, however...
I think this is a good phone, its stylish and works well. It has a good quality camera and is easily navigable, for the most part, until you want support or to change settings.I have been unable to find a way to default downloaded apps onto the SD card, there is a way to change some of the apps once downloaded via settings and storage but some such as what's app and Viber cannot be moved from internal storage. Also my music is taking up space, whereas I'd prefer it on my SD card. I'm sure I could load it separately, but in this world of technology where things are supposed to be make life easier, it doesn't appear to be the case. There is no clear way, that I can see, to move things such as music between internal storage and SD card. There is also the frightening message that if you disable some apps, such as YouTube, that the phone or other apps might not run properly. I just wish, and maybe I'm being naive here, that you could buy a phone and then decide yourself if you wanted YouTube and hangouts on there, or maybe I didn't fully understand what I was buying. So once again nice phone apart from the difficulty with internal storage issues.26/5/17I am becoming increasing frustrated by thus phone, simply because if lack of internal storage, arguably my fault, but I did think it would be enough, however there is nearly 5gb of system storage apps, most of which I don't use. At the very least I am having to try and clear data on a weekly basis. If already installed apps could be removed or there was a default for all added apps to be stored on SD card, it may help. Also when the system updates some apps move back from SD card to internal storage......very frustrating!!!! So changing to 2 stars, sorry as the style and ease of use is great

Decent enough phone but the internal memory lets it down badly. All the pre-installed apps gobble up the space leaving virtually nothing else!

Great buy
Bought as a gift and they like it very much...it looks stylish and has all they need from a smart phone.. the camera is better on this one than their other phone and as they like taking photos when out and about this was much appreciated. All in all good value.

Good cell phone :)
I had to buy another cell phone (I used to have Samsung S4 mini). This arrived pretty fast and knows everything that my previous one knew.Front camera is better than what you have on a Samsung S4 mini. All in all, it is fast, not freezing. If you are looking for something similar than a Samsung S4 mini I can recommend this one.Sorry for the trashy review but I am not an IT geek, I can only tell you that the phone is capable of doing what it is in the description :)
