Asus Prime PRIME Z790-P WIFI Gaming Desktop Motherboard - Intel Z790 Chipset - Socket LGA-1700 - ATX - Core, Pentium Gold, Celeron Processor Supported - 128 GB DDR5 SDRAM Maximum RAM - DDR5-7200/PC5-5

This is the 3rd ASUS MB that I have used to build my desktop computers over the last 10 years. It fits just fine into a mid-tower case and is easy to install. You may need a magnifying glass to see a couple of the connection for the on button and other parts that come with the computer case. Other than that, it works just fine. I do have one question about the heat sink for the PCle 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD as it has some foam adhesive tape on. It would seem to me that the heatsink should be in a direct contact with the PCle 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD. It wasn't a problem for me as my PCle 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD came with its own heatsink. If you have an old style keyboard or mouse with the IBM round connector, as opposed to the USB connector, this MB has proper connector so you can still use your old keyboard like I do.

I liked that it came with an updated bios so I could use the latest Intel CPU. It works great, haven't had any issues besides the USB 3.1 port not working properly. Other than that it's a great motherboard.

I have lost count on the number of ASUS motherboards I have purchased through the years. Not once have I ever been disappointed or had buyers remorse. This Z790-P is no exception. I just completed an install for my primary DAW PC for my studio and this board was a perfect fit for the bill. The system booted right up and recognized all of my hardware. Windows 11 installed without a single glitch and I was up and running in no time. The layout of the board is well thought out and fit nicely in my 4U rack enclosure. The installation manual was well written and explained all of the necessary connections making the install very easy. I have had no driver issues and my DAW software and audio applications all reloaded beautifully. I also encountered no issues with the BIOS and found it to be intuitive to navigate and was consistent with other ASUS boards. For reference I used an Intel i9 processor (LGA1700) and 32 GB Corsair DDR5 memory. I am not an over-clocker and I did not purchase this board for gaming. I opted to use the onboard video which will serve my needs quite well. This is another successful ASUS PC build and as long as they keep making quality motherboards I will continue to keep using them exclusively for all of my future PC projects.

I had an Asus Prime Z690-A, which apparently was known to have compatibility issues with intel 13th gen. Even though it said it was compatible and worked fine most of the time, under heavy load the computer would frequently deadlock. No error, no blue screen, no response, just freeze. Luckily, upgrading to the Z790 series seems to have fixed this completely! I'm disappointed in ASUS for the frankly false marketing, as they clearly have no intention of fixing the compatibility issues with older products, but I'm glad to at least no longer have random freezes. I do have to subtract a star because the price, in my opinion, is very unfair.

I bought this refurbished. Took a chance and am not disappointed. One of the best budget pcie 5 boards I've worked on.

As you can see in the image, I had went through the trouble of installation and set up, installing the AIO pump and all SDDs and graphics card. Everything lights up except the monitor and there's no other activity. If I unplug the keyboard and SDD no beeps. I get nothing to indicate CMOS has started at all even after switching out batteries. Over the course of the last two days since I started the build, I waited on support for over 30 minutes and browsed their website for hours looking for a way to speak to a human just in case I got something wrong. I read their manual from front to back going over every pin one by one. The machine turns on, the fans turn on, the pump turns on, but the system is otherwise dead. Now all I get is a refund after hours of wasted time for which I normally bill. I have had an ASUS account since 2014 yet it appears they have little interest in my patronage. I can't fix their motherboard but I can fix that.

I've been using this motherboard for a bit now, and it's been a solid, and running smoothly. I appreciate its clean design without the flashy gamer aesthetics. Overall, it's a seems fine and gets the job done.

Many reasons to buy this motherboard as it supports ddr5 memory plus 12th and 13th gen intel processor

Solid about four months in. USB-C port is useful if you pair it with a case that has a similar port on the front like I did.

1 o 2 veces al día los usb se desconectaban y se perdía la conexión de Internet. Lo reinstalé todo, sctualicé la bios, axtualicé los drivers, pero nada. Al final, buscando, encontré varios foros dd gente con el mismo problema. Es endémico de la tarjeta. Que vergüenza que, sabiéndolo se siga vendiendo para que bos volvamos locos. La he devuelto y he cambiado a una b760. Se acabaron los problemas.

This was only my second DIY build and it couldn't be any easier, thanks to this mobo. Well-laid out manual, and easy to use, the mobo itself is well-designed and well-built. I really enjoyed putting this PC together with this mobo at the heart of this.
