I have a steammop. Could I possibly use this to soften the water and insert it into the steam mop?

I just noticed you asked the same question about Granular salt, so sorry about the copy / paste!This is tablet salt which is used to make brine as the regenerant medium for water softeners, both stand alone machines and those built in to dishwashers. The way soft water is produced is by removing the hardness minerals. Simply adding salt to hard water will just produce hard, salty water. Can these be used my comby boiler

You can use it in an ION exchange type of water softner but do not put in a water conditioner. These use a natural food grade phosphate and are not the same thing. Also, do not allow artificially softened water into the heating side of the boiler. It will trash it and avoid any warranty.
