Fabsil GRFAB41 Aerosol Spray on Proofer - 600ml, Packaging may vary

Works well on my outdoor coat and when dry no smell.

Bought this to rain proof a part of my tent which kept letting small droplets of water in. It was easy to use and dried in no time at all. The rain now beads on the surface and no more drips inside the tent. As I had some of this leftover, I also reproofed my waterproof jacket and walking boots, and again it was easy to use and the rain just beads on the surface. I would say to use this outside as the spray can also fall on the floor (I have wooden floors) and it becomes very slippy.

The Fabsil product is very good. However, I ordered and received a can, only to find the packaging was inadequate and the lid had broken, allowing some of the product to escape. I asked for a replacement and Amazon sent one immediately. Unfortunately the packaging was the same and the lid was once again broken. Amazon needs to review the packaging for this product as it is not fit for purpose.

Worked well for me. Washed my coat as per instructions (soap flakes only) and let it dry thoroughly. Used 1 can of this proofer and left for a day to dry properly. Sprayed coat with water and it beaded up and ran off no problems. I will upgrade to 5 stars if the waterproofing lasts but so far I am really happy as I have used another very popular brand and was not at all impressed. Easy to apply and good product. Update. Waterproofing has lasted well so upgraded to 5 stars.

I wasn't sure this was going to make it for some garden cushions that tend to get soaked when it rains, but it seems to have done so. I got a hanging chair with big cushions that are made of water resistant materials (I think it's mostly thick polyester) and they seem to repel a little bit of water but when it rains for 3-4 hours, even if it's light rain they end up soaked and then, maybe due to them being water resistant, takes ages to dry out. So basically if it rains during the night, which in the UK happens a lot, don't expect to use the chair the next day, which really sucks. I tried this on the small head rest cushion and a bit on the big one, applied two very generous layers of the spray and let it dry for 3-4 days (just to make sure). I tried it on my sink and it repelled all water but again, the materials could do this on their own given it's just a bit of water. But this night it was raining and I went to the garden to check how wet they were, obviously the entire chair was wet all around but when pressing on the cushions they seemed to be dry on the inside. On waking up this morning I checked again and contrary to how it used to be (could take a whole day to dry) it was already dry. The big one was a bit more humid as I ran out of spray when spraying it and could only cover most of it, but not all, still that most of it did clearly do something as it was much drier than it would have been usually. I don't know how often this "treatment" needs to be applied, but hopefully it's just once a year or every 6 months. If so, it really is a wonder and a much cheaper option than adding a pergola to protect the chair.

The product listing says "Special feature: UV Resistant" but the writing on the aerosol can doesn't claim this. I contacted the manufacturer Fabsil and they confirmed it doesn't contain a UV protector, only their paint-on product in tins does, not his aerosol. I returned the product for a refund and bought the paint-on version as UV resistance was important for my application.

This is great. Use it on my waterproofs. Good price get a lot for your money. Also I use it to spray artificial flowers outside protects them well

First and foremost I chose this product because of its size. I think it is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) spray it that price range, which automatically makes it a good value for money. As far as performance, it does what every other similar product does. Don't expect in any case to have waterproof shoes or clothes for ever, they will just be water resistant for a fairly good amount of time. I only used it on shoes and I am quite satisfied with the results. I found the results a bit better when I sprayed three layers after a 10 minute gap in between. In my experience the shoes stay water resistant for at least a month of every day use in the worst weather (scotish rain almost every day). The spay worked fairly good even on my all-star which now can handle relatively easy light rain. All in all, it is a good valued for money product and I do recommend it.
