It it super lightweight and easy to apply. I used a mitt and I had no streaking and only the slightest variance of color on the back of my ankles. It smells super light and refreshing when it first goes on. I put it on a couple hours before bed and I didn't notice any staining of my sheets. Once I woke up in the morning I did smell that classic self tanner smell that they all have but it was not overpowering.
