Decent and quite (now :( )
I've had to edit my review from 1 star to 5 as it turned out I had a broken ceramic shaft which explained the drone I had. All Ponds Solutions were very good with after sales and they actually contacted me to resolve it. Once we'd worked our way past Amazons appalling online form which doesn't accept any video, picture or audio file, they replaced the whole thing. Nice and quite and powerful enough for my needs.

Runs quietly and powerful
Using for a 400ltr cichlid tank and works perfectly. No plug provided so had to install myself but apart from that, a very good product and great value for money

Excellent pump!
I'm using the 5000L/H version in a 4ft marine tank. Overall, I think the powerhead is excellent value for money and performs well, a good compromise between branded wave makers (like Koralia) and cheaper alternatives.Performance:It creates good strong motion in the water and eliminates 'dead spots'. Initially when I added this, the fish was blown away by it because it's created such a strong current! Two weeks in, they've gotten used to it and swim about like normal, my chormies have even started shoaling!Quality and aesthetics:The build quality is solid. It comes with a magnet and suction pad. I prefer to use the magnet, in fact that was the key selling point for me. I found my cheaper power heads kept loosing suction and falling off. The magnet which comes with this is super-strong (one could loose a finger!) and keeps the pump up with having to worry about algae build-up. Using magnets also means it's really easy to move the pump around if you wish. The pump is a bit bulky so may look intrusive in smaller tank - for the 5000LPH version at least. It could also do with being a bit quieter.Value:It's excellent value for money (I paid £29.99). It's an excellent compromise between the more expensive branded wave-makers (costing about twice as much) and super-cheap ones (costing about half). I would happily purchase another - and I just might, to stick on the other end of the tank.

Double wave maker
This was too big and powerful for my 6ft tank.. my fish were constantly swimming against the current and my sand was being blown everywhere. Till I sorted out the one propeller. The suction doesn't seem to be great, it sticks but when you start moving it, it starts to fall off.... sand and fish everywhere.

Absolute rubbish
I’ve made some bad decisions in my life.I once went out on the drink, while my Mrs stayed at home and looked after the baby.I once ate some yellow snow, thinking it was a tasty treat and followed it up with a fudge whippy I found on the street. We once decided to order a dwarf to a stag party, who then proceeded to get so drunk, we had to call an ambulance and had to be taken to hospital with the stag, as he’d lost the hand cuff keys.…None of these bad decisions compare to buying this awful wave maker.Picture this…. All fine for the first 30 days of warranty, fish swimming, water moving. Happy man.12 days out of warranty and a grumble starts to be heard from the tank, like if you chucked a bag of washers in the tumble dryer, with a pack of walnuts.Blower now does lot work, unless you want to put up with this noise and I have to constantly put up with my fish complaining to me that “the water is too still”, “why can’t the water be moving”…. Or if I put the blower on “what’s that noise”, “have you been walnut picking again and put your trousers in the wash with your metalwork kit again”I could put up with the blower, but with all the Agro with the fish kicking off it’s too much.If the bristle nose plec doesn’t watch it, he’s gonna be getting a one way ticket to the sewers. Express pass through the toilet bowl!Don’t get me started on the Gourami’s. They’re already in the quarantine tank for winding up the tetras. If you’re mental enough to still be reading this. Don’t buy the pump. It’ll make you’re life hell.

Good value, holds tightly, and quiet
Fit for purpose for a 130 litre tank. On a bigger tank as other comments indicate, a more powerful model would be best. It provides nice movement and holds very well. I had a much more expensive model which after a few years needed replacing. This will do just fine. The comment concerning a risk for certain fish to swim in it to their peril is crucial. This wavemaker would be impeccable if gaps at the front were smaller. As I have the most territorial sort obsessed with certain parts of the tank at the exclusion of others, my rating reflects a perfect experience. But it is something to account for. I would have a different model with wrasses for instance who are terribly curious and would no doubt stick their nose close.
