WHEN A BRAND IS BETTER THAN EVER ITS A REMINGTON
I purchased these Remington clippers because the price was better than Argos...the brand I have trusted for over 20 years and havng had a similar set before I decided to opt for these again. The moment they arrived I inspected the set and to my relief all the cutting mechanisms/blades had hygiene seals...Philips do not supply all their personal grooming kits with hygiene seals and this alone impressed me!The added bonus with these clippers is that being cordless you can use them in the bathroom in front of the mirror or opt to cut your hair outside...ie. no mess!!!The detail trimmer/ mini trimmer that come with this set requires 2 x AAA batteries to operate this is well made too!The set comes complete with quality scissors hair and moustach combs and of course trimmer combs including right and left ear taper combs. Instruction manuals and cleaning brush are also supplied including a cape and six sectioning clips. All this is supplied in a plastic clip lock storage case with a blow moulded storage insert for all the equipment. The mains charger is the three pin uk plug type...not the two pin shaver type as supplied by many Philips and braun products. The quality feel and the standard of manufacture surpass the cheap plastics of Babyliss and Philips...the Philips brand is no longer synonymous with quality and is overrated and overpriced for what they supply - the Philips hair trimmer I purchased recently snagged and hurt all, of my boys hair, and that coupled with the lack of hygiene seals has determined my pursuit of better quality. These Remington Hair Clippers are unsurrpasable...at a fantastic price you can't go wrong.Conversely from experience The "corded" Wahl trimmers are inpracticable the range of use is determined by the length of cable and Wahl for some unknown reason supply their products with very short leads.Overall the design and form of these clippers makes them pleasing to use, the hair cutting guides are simple to attach, flimsy but are only hair guides afterall...oil free blades with a powerful motor that glides through even dampened hair. This product is at the current price recession proof!!!

Outstanding - quality and value for money
Purchased these to replace a cheap pair of Babyliss clippers which were bought a few years ago. I'd previously owned a cordless set of Babyliss which were outstanding, as clippers have became more popular though companies have started churning out models which have dull blades from the off and pull hair rather than cut it and this was the case with the last £15 pair of Babyliss that I'd owned. Completely unsuitable for clipping hair and an utter disgrace coming from such a well known brand. In regards to the Remingtons what you get in terms of accessories is fairly standard - 8x length attachments, cape, a few cleaning brushes, a few combs, scissors, charger/main supply and a black plastic box to hold it all. Worth noting that Amazon are sending out the newer models not the all black unit pictured in some of the Amazon member's photos. The clippers most importantly are sharp and solidly constructed. No tugging which is the main factor when buying products of this nature, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to know that the way the hair is cut makes all the difference to how it looks. The lever that you use for fine adjustment doesn't move up and down as you're using the clippers which I've seen in some cheaper alternatives and you can use cordless or from the mains. A fine detail trimmer is included (batteries not supplied) and is of a similar quality to the main unit, a nice bonus given that without the trimmer this package would have been good value at £25 in my opinion. If I was being ultra picky the length attachments are very flimsy, never seen attachments like them. They also can't be substituted for the length attachments from other clippers which I thought was a shame as those nasty Babyliss clippers which I referenced came with 16 different length attachments that were of substantially higher quality. The width of the blade is also slightly smaller than any other clippers that I'd previously owned and the supplied storage box could have done with compartments rather than being a big black box which you just throw everything into. First set of Babyliss clippers that I ever owned came in a metal box, compartmentalised with sponge which both protected everything inside the box and made it easy to put back and keep organised.Other than that a thoroughly recommended purchase, can't really go wrong with a product when you get both value for money and a degree of quality.
