Amazon Basics Dog and Cat Carrier, Soft Sided Pet Travel Carrier for Cat and Dog, Black, Large, 50 cm L x 30.4 cm W x 30.4 cm H

Really pleased with this purchase. I have previously had the plastic carriers and always find them difficult to carry. Having this fabric one makes storage easier when not being used. It's sturdy and can be carried by hand or over the shoulder with the longer strap. A choice of front and top zipped openings makes it easier to put my cat in. Nice padded base. Well made and I can see this lasting many years.

Fits my domestic shorthair cat fine. He can’t fully spread out his body but perfect for short journeys. Can be folded away and isn’t too heavy. Good quality and value.

This is a great product, it's well made, it looks great - the zips etc are all well put together. Why only 4 stars and not 5? It's tiny! I had read on other reviews it was an issue, so I order a medium rather than a small for my 6 month old kitten - she just fits! So, my advice... order one, in large and you'll be pleased with it!

Worried at awful stories overseas of families having to evacuate urgently. I realised that our kitties have grown to massive ragdoll adults. The traditional plastic style basket broke at the handle when used for annual vaccination. Bought these to keep handy and replace store versions. One cat was in it immediately. They seem strong, have handles and shoulder strap, sturdy bottom with fleece blanket. They seem perfect. If anything changes, I will update.

Wasn't expecting much but they're actually pretty good. Sturdy, easy to use, fold really well. The removable mat inside is a good touch too. Ive bought both sizes, smaller one good for small cats, larger one better for normal sized cats. Would definitely buy again.

Bought the large size bag to take my Maine coon to the groomers. Luckily it is a very short journey to the groomers as my poor cat had to lie down the whole way. The carrier is probably big enough for a normal sized cat but certainly not any of the large breeds. My British blue is also too large for this carrier. It is a nice carrier, I like that the cat can see out from all sides. I did not have a problem persuading any of my cats to get in the bag, it's just a shame the bag is not large enough.

I am giving this 5 stars as I am blown away with how sturdy and well put together this item is for the price. However I hope the following helps if your thinking about buying this item. Please buy the large, even if your buying it for a rabbit. I did actually double check the size as I thought I had been sent the medium in error. It is the large one. One of my cats is a big girl and she just fits in here. Would not be happy taking her on a long journey in it but more than adequate for a short journey to the vet and back. My smaller cat fits in fine and can move around. If buying for a dog the large will only fit a small dog, and by that I do mean a small dog. So to recap, if buying for a normal size cat or very small dog you will be more than pleased with this as it is attractive, strong and sturdy and looks like it cost a lot more than it did. Hope this helps.

I bought the Large bag which is meant for pets up to 10kg. From the beginning, I knew it was extremely cheaply made because the shoulder strap and buckle were so flimsy that the buckle would slip and I could not use the shoulder strap as the bag would plummet when I was carrying her and scare her and also, the bag would then be banging on my legs when I walked. At that point she weighed 5.8kg, well under the 10kg limit. But because i am small I could use the normal handles over my shoulder which, although not suitable for carrying distances, and I HAD specifically wanted a cross-body strap to make it easier to walk to the shops, I kept it because it is so lightweight which matters to me as I am small. So I only used it a few times because I can't carry her for any distance with it just over my shoulder as opposed to weight distributed over my whole torso. We just used it when driving somewhere and popping into a shop as opposed to walking to shops. Yesterday, probably the 6th time we've used it, I unzipped the end section and saw there the wire that provides the structure to the top of the bag had come right through the fabric and was poking out about an inch. That could easily take an eye out or because she's a chewer, had I not seen it first, no doubt she would have been chomping on it. She now weighs 7kg so still well under the 10kg limit for the large bag. So apart from the shoulder strap being completely useless, this is so cheaply made to be dangerous. Unfortunately I am a few days past the return period but this product is NOT AS DESCRIBED, DANGEROUS AND FAULTY.

Good quality, it fits my 3 cats (2 kittens & 1 adult)

Seems well constructed and durable, but yet to be tested. The carrier feels roomy for its small size. This is the perfect size for many airlines

I've used this carrier for several years now and it's held up really well! It's sturdy, practical and especially useful if you travel frequently by train or need a comfortable carrier for car journeys. One thing I particularly like is the mesh panels, which provide plenty of ventilation while also allowing your pet to look outside and see what's going on. I think that's a really important feature, especially during longer journeys. Overall, a very good purchase that has lasted me for years. Definitely recommended for anyone who travels regularly with their pets!

Good Product
