One or two design improvements since I bought an earlier version (which packed up after the heavy top fell off and landed on the floor). However, I hadn't spotted, and my attention wasn't drawn to the fact that it is taller than before and standard size bin liners are now too small.

Poor lid hinge design. The lid hinge made from moulded plastic has shattered after just 2 years 9 months rendering the automatic lid unoperational. Repair impossible, so I've had to buy a replacement bin from another manufacturer.

Automatic lid opener works well. Bought to replace a similar bin that finally died after several years. The old one had a better system for holding the bags. This one is a bit fiddly if you want to avoid the edge hanging out

Problems with the plastic hinges on the lid breaking and now not fucncional after 8months . Lid now completely removes and does not operate as it should . No option to contact seller or return at this point

My current kitchen bin gave up the ghost and I did purchase one but it was too small. This product however is excellent and fits perfectly in my kitchen. Highly recommended and delivered very quickly.

We love the touchless element of this bin. However at times it's bit too effective as it often opens and closes on it's own!!

What is a very nice looking large bin is sadly spoilt by a naff plastic top who's longevity will no doubt be compromised if other reviews are anything to go by . Good price compared to some bins no doubt because of the use of plastic

Purchased this to replace a heavy duty stainless steel pedal bin costing much more which failed due to the cheap plastic hinge not being able to continuously operate the weight of the lid. This bin has a very light lid which looks like it will last a lot longer by not overstressing the operating mechanism. One pleasant fact not mentioned in the description is that the lid count down stays on five seconds until you have finished using the bin. The lid also opens much wider than indicated in the photo's. Very pleased with this product I hope it lasts longer than the old one. Lastly, it looks very good in the kitchen.
