This kettle is excellent!!! I purchased this in April 2019 and have used it every day since. After 7 years, it’s still fully functional and in perfect condition. The only parts that have started to wear are the plastic lid mechanism and the limescale plastic filter. Also, the Brita filter helped a lot with limescale and dirt. We later removed it when we switched to reverse osmosis, which became the only water we used in the kettle — resulting in no scale build-up and no need for constant cleaning like with regular tap water. I recommend this product 💯

I live in a hard water area, and either I descale my kettle every week or it quickly gets ruined. I’ve had this a week and the water coming out of it tastes so smooth, I didn’t think it was possible for water to taste that good. It boils quickly and is easy to use. However I’m the only kettle user in my house, as my partner drinks coffee from a different machine. So as the only user, each time I use it, I fill the water filter with the maximum amount of water, so by the time I want to boil it next time the water has filtered through and I can boil straight away. The kettle will make one large mug of tea from each full filter fill up. So for me this works fine, as once I’ve poured it, I fill it up again and so on. The kettle itself has a bigger capacity though, so if I have people round, I think have to just fill up the filter area once or twice more once it’s drained through (3 fills of this area is kettles capacity approximately). But the difference is I have to wait for it to go through (takes about a minutes each time). This isn’t a problem for me to make the occasional cup of tea when I have people round, but if you needed more that one drink from the kettle regularly, I imagine it would get really annoying and you’d probably be better off filling a normal kettle from a brita filter jug? I love I though and am really pleased with it.

Love this kettle. I dont have to have a jug cluttering up my work surface or taking up room in the fridge. Just change my filter in the jug once a month. You can just filter water through it without having to boil it too. Boils up really quickly, and has a nice blue light illuminating the kettle when boiling. I have had glass a kettle before which exploded, so this plastic see through kettle is fine for me. Not very loud when boiling, reasonably light to hold, looks good and easy to fill. The only little gripe l have with this kettle is that the lid is white so does not (in my humble opinion) contrast well with the silver metal and plastic body of the kettle. But that is something l can put up with as l am really pleased with the kettle up to now. I have had it fora month now and no problems. Well worth the money. I would put up a video of the kettle working but unfortunately my phone not allowing me to do it at the moment

The BRITA filter sounds nice in theory, but if you haven't used one before (as I hadn't), you should be aware just how much this will increase the time it takes to make a drink. No longer can you just throw the water in the kettle and turn it on. You have to wait idly by it while the water trickles through the filter. If that's fine by you, then great. For me, I'd rather have a normal kettle, and just pour pre-filtered water in. The worst part though may be the capacity. Something I didn't think would be a problem, since this is a 1.5L kettle. Right? Wrong. The product title is misleading. It says 1.5L, but the product DESCRIPTION says 1L, with a 0.5L hopper. That doesn't count. If you are making tea for more than three people at a time, you're going to need to run it a few times, and that means waiting for it to trickle slowly through the filter every single time. If you host people regularly, this is not the right kettle for the occasion. Despite my complaints, it is a perfectly serviceable kettle. If the low capacity and slow prep time aren't a problem for you, you'll probably find this kettle to be completely fine. For myself, I can't help feeling like I made a mistake.

Didn’t realise the kettle would be plastic until I received it. There’s a more expensive version with glass. The Brita filter does not fit in as snugly as it should without the risk of breaking the appliance. I use brita filters already and their appliances require you to press the filter in until almost a click, but with this, it’s not strong enough and therefore a good chance water will bypass the filter. Disappointed, I’m sure it’ll work but can’t really see it lasting too long. Better keep the box as I think there’s a 3 year guarantee.
