Fantastic Phone - Great price - very well made - Delighted converted Apple Customer
After getting completely miffed with Apple and deciding to jump ship (for various reasons including apple trying to get you to use more cloud storage for your photos and making it more difficult to actually get your own images downloaded) I decided to move to an Android. After much looking around and reading reviews i came across Huawei. I love how this company produces a 'Light' version of most of their main models, fitting the budgets of most people i would think. I checked that all apps used on my IPhone 6S were available first. I received the phone the day after ordering. I had it fully set up and did a full contact bluetooth transfer between the phones within an hour. Almost a week in now and i'm over the moon with the phone. Lighter and slimmer than the apple with a bigger screen. Great definition. The camera is also fantastic. The images produced are more vivid and sharper than i thought they would be. Sometimes the autofocus needs a little longer with cross lighting but generally very good. It was definately a learning curve switching from ios to Android but i'm already settled in. I'm still on contract hence the Sim Free option with this phone. I won't be looking back again. I really am delighted with this phone. Battery life comparison is fab also. Leaving for work at 6 in the week and getting home about 6 the apple would have about 40% charge left with moderate use throughout the day. With the Huawei its closer to 65-69% with more use (new phone novelty and all that). Looking forward to the P10 perhaps next year. :-)

Speechless.
Well normally this is where I'd have a lot to say but if I'm honest I'm truly speechless about the phone. I dropped my s6 not too long ago and the screen was just too much to replace, so I came to Amazon looking for a cheap replacement and at £199 I was drawn to the p9 lite. The phone arrived in such carefully laid out, well thought-out packaging that puts other more expensive phone brands like Samsung to shame. The phone itself is a great build for the price, yes it has a plastic back, but the aluminium sides and glass bezels make the phone look and feel great. The screen looks great, not quite as good as other super amoled displays but the HD screen still looks great. The finger print scanner works every time all the time and the battery is better than any other smart phone I've owned, and I'm a very heavy user. I've encountered no lag what so ever which you'd normally expect from any android phone and the layout, although different is now my favourite of any android phone. If you're looking at getting an android phone just get this one. If I had the choice I would have gotten this a very long time ago and got a great experience and had money left over.

Extremely Disappointing!!!
I bought a phone and unfortunately, my experience with it has been extremely disappointing. The phone is incredibly slow and constantly gets hung up, making it frustrating to use even for simple tasks. Despite being a relatively new device, it seems to struggle with basic functions like opening apps or browsing the web. The overall performance is incredibly laggy and unresponsive, which makes it difficult to use as a daily driver. I've tried all the usual fixes like clearing the cache and restarting the phone, but nothing seems to improve its performance. Even after uninstalling most of the apps, the phone still takes a long time to load and freezes up frequently. Overall, I would not recommend this phone to anyone looking for a reliable device. While it may seem like a good deal at first, the poor performance and constant hang-ups make it frustrating to use on a daily basis.

Great Phone for a Reasonable Price
I bought this phone to replace my Galaxy S7 - which after a year of heavy usage was on its last legs - and I'm very pleased with the product. For about £200 I couldn't ask for more. The build quality is excellent with a pleasant weight in the hand, and despite the back being made of plastic it has a premium feel. The UI leaves something to be desired, but after installing a custom launcher (Nova launcher is a must for those who appreciate the feel of stock Android) I was pleased with the little quirks and niceties that MIUI has to offer. While not as feature heavy as the flagship Galaxy S7, you do get a lot for your money here. The camera is serviceable, and can produce very attractive shots for those who know how to navigate the innards of a phone camera. Low-light seems to be a bit of an issue, producing grainy images, but when the lighting is good this camera can hold up as above average. The front camera is fine, but I'm not one for selfies. On the bottom we have the speakers which I'd personally prefer to be front facing, but they are loud enough. And I use headphones more often than not, so it is not a huge issue. 3GB of RAM is plenty, and never experienced slowdown on my time with it, but time will tell how this holds up. The Kirin 650 processor, whilst mid-range, is competent enough to allow me to do all the things I need without issue. The display, whilst not amazing, is good. It's a 1080p IPS display - while most flagships are 1440p at this stage, the reduced resolution helps with battery life and cost - the colours are accurate and images are sharp, so it is good enough. Obviously AMOLED is superior, but when balancing cost/benefit, Id say this is the right choice. With the mid-range processor, and large battery, you can expect about a day and a half or moderate to heavy usage with no problems - great for people who use their phone almost constantly. It operates on Android Marshmallow out of the box, but Android 7.0 Nougat is available to download right now. Hopefully we will receive the update to 7.1 and get all the nice battery optimisations that come with that. If you're in the market for a mid-range phone, and don't want to shell out for the more up to date models (such as the P10 lite, or the Honor 9) then you can't go wrong with the P9 lite. Build: 5/5 (Though I would have preferred USB-) Sound: 4/5 Camera: 4/5 Performance: 4/5 Display: 4/5 Software: 3/5 (without a custom launcher) or 4/5 (with a custom launcher)
