Very good but needs a little fine-tuning in its design.
Purchased as a christmas present for my daughter. Most disappointed when I opened it and found the hinges broken (the screws had been pulled out of the timber frame). The packaging was adequate and undamaged - I suspect that somebody had previously purchased it, was heavy handed with it, broke it and returned it to Amazon.20 mins with some new screws I was able to repair it.Overall it is nicely made with good quality timber. However the bottom mount (that supports the base of the canvas) can be raised and lowered but is a little stiff in the lowest position - it is due to the way that the guide has been routed so the sliding parts tend to jam. Again an easy fix by putting 1cm rubbers on the bottom so that it does not fully go down.Overall for it's price it is worth it.

Wow - what a fun toy!
The categoriser at Amazon has a fine sense of humour! This is an EASEL and a very good one - the illustration gives the game away.Extremely sturdy and holds a 2x3 foot canvas perfectly.

An Essential for all kitchen table artists!
The table easel arrived promptly before the expected delivery date. I have used it continuously ever since both with frames and a board and found it up to the mark. I have already recommended it to a friend from our art group and would have no hesitation in continuing to recommend it to others.

Value for money easel!
Speedy delivery could not be faulted.Outer parcel box was well wrapped containing the inner strong product box containing the already assembled easel. It only took a few minutes to set up and, for the price, I cannot fault the wood, fittings and general build qualities. My current 20in x 16ins 'paint by numbers' project can easily be accommodated although the easel lacks a method of securing the thin board-backed canvas to it. My initial thoughts would be a strip of blue foam at the top and bottom of the frame to 'friction hold' the canvas in place.A bonus is that my magnifying glass with its flexi-coil stalk and crocodile grip can be secured at either top or bottom of the easel to assist my eyesight on painting small detail. The easel sits nicely on any level table surface and feels firm and secure in operation. And it only takes a few seconds to fold up almost flat for easy storage.Imo, not bad for the money and thus far I'm well satisfied.

Bottom bits have come off within the first week and the easel moves around my desktop so much I have to hold it in place when I paint. Not very helpful.

A little smaller than I imagined, quality is good, would have liked it slightly heavier.

Okay
Okay, but suprised that the central shaft was off true and was leaning to the left

Good value.
Good value for money, easy to adjust, solid without being heavy. The only reason for not giving the 5th star is that the long central support makes it rather unwieldy to carry to class.
