Absolutely Indispensable Kit - buy one for each car you own, charge it up and leave it in the boot till you need it !
I've now bought several of these and consider them to be absolutely indispensable, buy one for each car you have and stick them in the boot till you need it.We live in rural Northumberland, 12 miles from the nearest garage and, when I'm out visiting can be that distance or more from the nearest house. It only took one flat battery experience up on the moors to convince me of the need for one of these in each car and the kit is superb, dead easy to use and very, very reliable. Charge it up when you first get it and then forget about it till you need to jump start something. We've used ours on 4x4s, vans, quad bikes, motorcycles and on one bad day I used it to jump the tractor eight or nine times. The kids like it as well because it charges their phones up, there's a good torch built in and it literally saved me half a day's walking off the moors. We've had -10 up here the last few weeks and it kills batteries without warning, latest use for the jump starter was to fire up the tractor and then act as it's main battery for an hour while I moved stuff around the yard. Just started it first thing and then kept it running as long as I needed. The Arteck brand is a good one, I had a technical query and they replied by return of email and it easily stands up to being bounced about on the tractor or in the boot of the Jeep and I've used mine dozens of times without problem. I bought the smaller one for my son's girlfriend this Christmas, odd gift you might think but more use than a half case of Prosecco as she has an old van they use for surf trips, climbing and mountain biking holidays.Very strongly recommended, wherever you live and whatever you drive.PS. A friend had a flat battery and it took the RAC / AA / Green Flag an hour and a quarter to get to them. Jump start and away home they went. £60 to buy one of these and avoid the delay, if you have a smaller car then only spend £30 on the smaller version. Money well spent ?

Exactly what you need in those situations when your car battery needs a jump start
Here are 3 reasons I got this product:1) The most important reason. I got this product because I have been in painful situations before where my previous car’s battery flattened in the past.2) On average I drive around 1,500 miles around the UK in my car so need something where I don’t have to wait for vehicle rescue to jump start it for me after waiting for them for an hour. Especially in winter.3) Past products I got from Arteck have been really good quality and they seem to be a good brand. With that in mind here is my review.**Question: What did you get when you opened this box? **Answer:• Multi-Functional Car Jump Starter external Battery• Compact Box• Jumper Leads• Wall Charger• Car Charger• USB Cables (Micro USB cable and Apple chargers)• User Manual** Question: Does it jump start a car? **Answer:Yes. I started a test car and it did that within seconds without consuming too much battery (of the product).NOTE: Make sure the product has above 50% battery life. The indicator in the product will tell you how much charge is remaining.**Question: Describe the features of this product. **Answer:This product is a very well thought out product for modern day needs.Along with it being a battery jump starter it is also a power bank / devices charger and has a powerful LED light. I can see exactly why this has been added.• Imagine if you are stuck in some dark motorway or a quiet area and you need to jump start your car, it will do that.• Imagine you need some light to fill up your car’s coolant in the dark or need to look inside your engine, or you have to walk for a bit in a dark place. This product has a strong LED light (see photo, definitely much brighter than a smartphone) which will help you in all those situations and more. You can also set the light to be a strobe light, and SOS signal light.• Imagine if you need to use your phone in emergency and the battery close to running out, this will charge your phone. It has two USB ports and comes with a cable you can use phones with a micro USB cable or for an Apple phone.** Question: How long does it take to charge the product? **Answer:From 0 to 100% full battery it takes about 4hrs to charge when using a wall charger.**Question: What is the build quality of the product? **Answer:The product is very well built. It’s smaller than your Sky TV remote control (see photo). It comes in a very nice zippable case to store all the accessories and battery. The battery connectors are well built and the springs are quite strong. Connecting securely is not a problem unless you have a battery in a restricted place, mine was fine.Arteck state this product comes with safety protection, safety features protect you and your device from surge or short circuits which is good.Pleasantly this product is lighter than I thought it would be.** Summary **In summary, a product like this is something you hope you never have to use but just the sort of thing you need when you are in those unlucky situation to need it. It is a vital addition to my car trunk. Just remember to keep it fully charged for those type of emergencies. This is a good quality product I would recommend to anyone having got it for a review.

Brilliant so far.
I purchased this product after getting stuck in my car with a flat battery, I had jump leads in the car but I was in the middle of nowhere without another car in sight. I'm a landscape photographer and often go to remote areas at night and sometimes I'm sat in my car for hours whilst taking star photographs etc. Anyway I wasn't expecting much considering the price. I was pleasantly surprised when opening the box. The device itself is in a nice case and comes with lots of cables and adapters neatly tucked away in the top pocket. Build quality far exceeded my expectations, the plastic is nicely molded with tight fitting seams and feels solid. The built in torch is bright and comes with 3 settings. I have jumped my 4.0 L petrol jeep and my 2.0 tdi insignia it had no problem doing either. I have also used it as a power bank a few times. I was able to fully charge my 10 inch tablet, my phone (twice) and my small vape (3 times) all from flat. This took the jump pack to about 12% charge. I have since fully charged the pack and it has been in the boot of my car for about 3 weeks. I took it out today to check the charge level and it was still at 100%I dont normally write reviews but I've been really impressed with this product so far and the confidence it gives me knowing it's in the back of my car was well worth the money.
