Melissa & Doug Multi-Activity Table Playspaces and Decor Furniture 3+ Gift for Boy or Girl

This play table is brilliant, and I wish I had bought it a bit earlier rather than waiting until my little lad was almost 3. It is very solid, made of good quality materials and has no sharp or nasty edges, which makes it safe for little hands (and feet!) at all times. The play area is very decent in size terms, and easily takes a reasonably large train set. It is quite heavy - which is good in that he isn't strong enough to try and relocate it in his room (yet!) - but it does mean that assembly should be a 2 person job. That said, the instructions are very clear and the tools are all included. All in all, a reasonably competent individual should be able to put it together in about 30 minutes - it took me about 90, but that's a different issue! Good purchase and will last forever!

I thought about buying this table about 6 months ago, (after doing a fair amount of research..) and now wonder why I didn't disobey my husband then - who thought it was an unnecessary expense!!HOW WRONG HE WAS......So, as he lay in bed with proper Flu for 7 days over Christmas, I naughtily ordered it to store all the b..... Playmbil my son has just been given which I had had TO SPEND HOURS ASSEMBLING ON CHRISTMAS DAY!The table arrived today - took the plumber (don't ask!) 30 minutes to assemble, whilst I shifted the kids room around and hey presto my life and theirs (5 & 3) has been transformed.Toys all in one place at a level that they can easily kneel/stand/sit alongside of, and its plenty big enough for 3-4 kids to have a side each and interact with each others games. It is also surprisingly light to pull this way and that i.e. to store to one side at night, then our 5 year old can drag it out into centre of the room by day, laden with the said Playmobil. He loves the drawer underneath for his Bionicals and I have also slotted 2 of the IKEA underbed boxes stuffed with toys under it too and the drawer still slides..AMAZING.IF you are dithering about the price don't! At [...] its a steal for the quality and we had Free Super Saver delivery too; it arrived exactly 7 days after ordering with the NEW YEAR bank holidays included. I was phoned 2 days ago by The Home Delivery Service and given a 4-hour midday slot today (handily co-inciding with the Plumbers visit too!).It looks really nice assembled and not at all clunky/chunky.The underside of the green boards is unpainted so a quick roll of paint and one could create another scene to suit your childs toys, ie dino-land, Sea-scape or train tracks/airport or just Pink for girly stuff....one wouldn't need to be Michelangelo I imagine!What a great start to the New Year. Thank you Amazon for stocking this item cheaper than anywhere else.

Very sturdy and not too complicated to put together. Its a nice big space and so far its been a huge hit. We even plan on using it as a games table for board games with beanbags round it.Only four stars because as another reviewer mentioned a similar problem; the holes on the front left of the drawer are not correctly aligned causing the left hand side of the drawer to sit above the front panel and stopping it from closing. Required partial dismantling of drawer and sanding down to allow closure so not a big deal but slightly disappointing given the cost and expected quality of Melissa & Doug items.

I was looking for a "train table" for Grandson and was doing endless searches for products until I came across a review on Amazon by a lady who had also bought for her Grandson and she said she had found this to be the best table ever.I ordered and my daughter and I put this together in half an hour so really plain sailing (all you need comes with it allen keys etc)It is an amazingly stylish looking sturdy play table and the storage drawer is a nice design. Under the table there is room forlow level storage boxes, so plenty of room for toys or other items you want to keep tucked away.He loves it and uses it for so many things his action figures, his train set, puzzles racing motor cars along it just about everything you could think of!We are thrilled with it and the fact that it is so sturdy its going to last way beyond his early years he is 3 now. It would be as suitable for little girls for puzzles doll dressing setting up "shop" who knows the list is endless. A fabulous design plus these are in shops at well over a hundred pounds so a real baragin buy on Amazon5 stars is simply not enough I would give it 10 stars. Look no further buy this one and superfast delivery too.

I'm not sure I would describe this as solid and sturdy it is basically MDF/Chipboard and the reviews led me to believe the product was possibly made of solid wood - Not So. It was not that easy to assemble either so much so that when assemblying I damaged the front - I'e recommend using 2 people to assemble especially when putting the sides and front together. That said supplier was excellent and replaced the damaged front so I cannot complain there at all, excellent customer service.That said once assembled it's solid enough. It's in our Son's room and he does use it but I'm not convinced it's being used to play on moreso an area where he can store and access his toys, lego models etc. The 1 draw is not that big but there again big enough for our son who is now 5 to open even if fully loaded.So in reflection I suppose for the price it is probably excellent value and I'm probably not giving this as good a review as the product deserves, after all we haven't sent it back! We probably would have had to pay 3 or 4 times as much for similar dimensioned table made entirely of solid wood and we'd need to find such a table in the first instance!

I am quite impressed with this activity table! It stays true to Melissa & Doug's brand of being well built, all wooden (other than screws to put together), good quality, and sturdy! I am impressed that the drawer is run on a dowel on the top and slides nice!Took me about an hour to build on my own. The instructions were easy to follow (larger writing would have been nice) and had most the tools to put it together (you need an screwdriver, the rest is in the packaging).I would suggest this table to anyone!

Da unser Kleiner mit seiner Holzeisenbahn nicht gerne auf dem Boden spielt hatten wir uns bisher immer mit einem alten Couchtisch oder Pappkartons beholfen. Irgendwann wurden diese aber schlicht zu klein und auch zu instabil. Auf die Idee mit dem Spieltisch kamen wir nachdem wir ein ähnliches Konzept in der Krippe gesehen hatten.Der Tisch ist vom Aufbau her sehr stabil und dennoch leicht zu montieren und auch vom Gewicht her genau richtig nicht zu leicht für die Kinder und dennoch für einen Erwachsenen noch gut zu bewegen. Verarbeitung ist sehr gut, alle Ecken gut abgerundet und sauber geschliffen und auch die Schublade schließt sehr gut ab. Auch das unter dem Tisch durchkrabbeln ist kein Problem und macht zusätzlichen Spaß (wobei man hier schonmal anstoßen kann). Auch der kleine Bruder ist begeistert, da er sich am Tisch problemlos hochziehen und stabil stehen kann. Unsere beiden Kleinen sind restlos begeistert und für uns als Eltern hilft es das Chaos besser im Griff zu behalten.

La table est arrivée avec quasiment un mois d'avance.La notice de montage est très claire et détaillée. J'ai mis 2H à la monter sans aucun souci. J'ai juste eu besoin d'un tournevis crucifome. Tout le reste est fourni.Et le résultat est très sympa. Une belle et grande table de jeux pour mon fils de 6 ans fan de play-mobil.Le seul tout petit reproche que je pourrais faire concerne la taille du tiroir. Il aurait pu être plus volumineux étant donné la taille de la table elle-même.
