Human Anatomy & Physiology, Global Edition

This is absolutely my go-to A&P book. It goes into ludicrous detail, much more so than other A&P books I've come across. If you're like me, this is useful as it helps you understand the big picture. The illustrations are large and colourful, as well as detailed. This is a huge, heavy book and it is definitely not something I ever take with me, but I never expected that to be an option due to the sheer amount of information contained within. All in all, I highly recommend this book to anyone who, like me, wants to know the nitty gritty and not just the overview.P.S. There are many similarities between this book and Campbell Biology by Reece et al, in case you're familiar with that one.

when it comes to the content, this edition doesn't differ much from the previous one, some cosmetic changes has been made. The quality of paper is the same as the previous one.The pages are not translucent, as the previous review states and so doesn't crease, unless you put your elbow and crease it youself.. I bought this book despite that review, I was attracted by the price and I don't regret. Although, I will have to bind this book as the cover is thin but I expected that.

Disappointing. Although the content of this core text book will undoubtably be invaluable to my daughter through her nursing degree, I doubt very much that the book will hold together long enough to see her through to graduation. The pages are very thin, almost translucent, so any hi-lighting and annotation is likely to bleed through, and they easily crease at the turn of a page. The cover is also thinner than most standard fiction paperbacks so not sure how the publishers think that it has a snowball in hell's chance of withstanding the weight of 1260 pages of this size in regular use over 3 years or more. Overall, poor quality production for a price tag like that. In its 10th edition I would strongly recommend comparing the 'updated' and repeated content with that in a cheaper, second-hand older edition before spending your student loan on this.

Very comprehensive though the wording of the text could be improved.

Excellent and will be well used, on my official degree reading list year one. Been using library hardback copy of older editions so this is an improvement. Not as flimsy as some say and at this reduced price I could not ignore.
