With this light you only just get what you pay for. Let’s be clear it is definitely not suitable for outside exposed use. I’m using mine inside my garage.The problem is the poor quality of this product. The top glass cover doesn’t seal against the bottom part because the base is badly moulded and isn’t flat. Consequently the glass top rocks and there’s a gap at both ends accordingly. Wiring as stated by other reviewers is very fiddly, and in the end I had to remove the bulb holder from it’s mounting so as to fit the conductors, and then refit the bulb holder. Sealing the cable entry is low tech comprising a rubber grommet cut to fit the cable size and then pushed in to the circular external moulding, however it should keep the bugs out.Regarding the bulb, I’ve used an LED GLS design bulb which is about the same size as an incandescent one. However it is a tight fit and actually touches the inside of the glass top. I figure being an LED bulb it won’t generate much heat so shouldn’t be a problem.Overall then this small bulkhead light is ok for inside use but that’s all. If you want one for outside then you have to spend more money and get a better quality one.

I used this light inside the garage so can't comment on durability. Good value but wiring is very fiddly due to position of terminals. Using a solid core wire (rather than strands) should make it easier. If using outside, and therefore needing to fit the rubber seals to the inlet ports, it might prove very hard to get the wires into the terminals.I had no trouble punching out the inlet port discs, just used a suitable sized drift (I used the end of a large drill bit) and a sharp tap with a hammer.

I have used these in my sheds and workshop. I bought 6 of them and one arrive with pieces of plastic missing but the Amazon returns process is too difficult to bother with trying to return one of six so I made do.I have installed these on a 2.5mm squared round cable T&E as this is the cable I use for anything outside of the house. The terminals are tiny and the holes very difficult to get a 2.5mm cable into. Also the hole for entry on the bottom has a plastic stand in front of it that holds the bulb and so it makes it even more difficult to put the wires in place.I like to buy as cheaply as possible in order to get a job done to a certain standard. These are right on the borderline of taking to much time to install to be considered reasonable.

This lamp I consider as ok for the money if fitted outside or good if for inside. I bought this for outside but its far from water tight so i have use sealent to make it water proof. It is cheap so put a LED bulb in it which needed the lamp modifying in order to fit. It will do for now and lf i were really hard up this would be a good choice if your prepared to work on it a bit. Good delivery though.

Liked the look of the unit. Was easy to fit.However the glass broke very easily and the unit itself was quite weak. The bulb housing on one did crack and the glass broke on 2 of the 4 I bought. One broke as I took it out of the box! The cold weather might have had something to do with it but still.I kept them as was desperate for lighting at the time.Cheap but shows it.

However, the rubber bung seals to put over the hole where the cable goes in did not fit - way too big. had to use some silicon. Plus the overall seal around the light / glass protector is not the best fit. Again - silicon. Guess you get what you pay for. Tis ok if you can use a silicon gun.

Good little light, ideal for what I need. Have popped it up where a outside light was but had to be removed when I built my porch. Light is easy to install although you will need to drill your own entry hole for the wiring. Does not come with a bulb, which it does state. but takes a standard mini glove. Good value for money
