Klean Kanteen

A single tear rolls down my coworker's face. He knows. I know. Thirst. He's parched. Yearning for some form of hydration. He sees me smile as I unscrew my beautiful stainless steel bamboo cap, lift the wide drinking lip to my mouth and quench on my delicious, clean h2o. Yet, all he has is a plastic water bottle. A ragged, overused plastic bottle that he'd rather not use in the face of my premium hydration vessel. He'd much rather experience the pains of thirst than succumb to the shame of showing he STILL reuses a plastic water bottle. GASP. All jokes aside, this Klean Kanteen is fantastic. It's remarkably crafted and even though it won't make the above scenario a part of your every day life, you should buy one anyway. Water tastes pure and clean, and even though its a bit pricey, its a worthy investment. It looks very cool too.

This bottle looks amazing, and from the quality, I can tell it's a real "buy it for life" item. Before purchase I wasn't sure where the silicone came in as the description says it is made of 3 materials - stainless steel, bamboo, and silicone. For anyone else wondering about this, it is a thin O-ring around the lid to make a watertight seal. The bottle itself is pure stainless steel (even the logo is etched - it's not paint). This means it can go in the dishwasher and has the added advantage that in a survival situation you could boil water in it over a fire (without the lid of course). The only issue I have had is one time when I didn't tighten the lid enough and some water leaked out, otherwise I have been very pleased with this purchase.

Hard to drink out of without spilling. The lid screachs when closing. No thermal properties- but it works as a water bottle and doesn't leak.

It looks good but that's about it. The mouth is too large and makes drinking difficult because it bumps on/with the nose - I have to tilt my head backwards too much (first world problem? not at this price!). And it stinks even if you use it just once and then leave it unwashed [later edit: only when you use tea; plain water is all right]. Also, when empty, it is not very stable. For years I had a much cheaper "fancy bottle" - Laken - and it worked just fine. Except that it wasn't that good looking.

This is a superior product. Well made and I can tell it will last a life time. It does feel expensive as a one off purchase, but I have easily made my money back by not having to buy bottled water for a month. I have had no taste issues. In fact, when I now drink from a plastic bottle (especially a reused one) I can taste the difference. The lid does make a noise when unscrewed, but this is easily avoided by pulling up on the lid while screwing and going slowly. However, this is not even an issue for me. If your looking to eliminate plastic from your day to day life, this is a great place to start.

I love the concept of Klean Kanteen. We brought it in colors for our kids, and then I did go for this one for my self. Pros: - none of all these chemical/plastic products that turns out to be dangerous - fits in many places - you can buy another top for sports activity - it is beautiful crafted in metal and bamboo - great size, 500ml is to little in many cases Cons: - the biggest con is, that it is fragile. Dropped it once from about 50cm, the bottom got a hit and now it has a bad balancing. My sons bottle got the same mark. - if you buy in colors, the color is fragile and falls of in daily use

Had it for a couple of weeks now and so far I'm really pleased. Great build quality, great finish (brushed stainless) and really nice to drink out of. I'm really pleased about the availability of spare parts on Klean Kanteen's website - this thing should last longer than Trigger's broom. I've beaten my personal record of drinking bottle related compliments since owning it too. It is also somehow pleasant to drink water out of and I like the metalic rattly sound it makes when I screw the top back in. Overall 5*.

Followed several reviews as was looking for a 'healthier' stainless steel bottle. Looks the part, seems well made, have yet to see how it stands the test of time and if it's good value for money in the long term.

Finalmente una borraccia elegante e allo stesso tempo lavabile e funzionale. Fornisce l'idea di non doverla mai cambiare, consigliato sia per chi ama l'outdoor sia per chi cerca una soluzione per non usare più borracce di plastica che si usurano col tempo o bottiglie con il collo sottile difficili da pulire. Unico tasto dolente (oltre al prezzo) la chiusura e apertura molto rumorosa e bisogna fare attenzione a chiuderla del tutto altrimenti c'è il rischio di seminare acqua ovunque.

Use it every day in summer -- sleek, minimal, no plastic at all. Has held up well over 4 years of intensive use, especially considering I am a professional gardener and it bangs around in all kinds of work sites. It was worth the money.

Exelente producto para llevar agua. No es un termo para agua caliente pero conserva el agua con muy buen sabor sin olores gracias al acero inoxidable ventaja no tiene ni una sola parte de plástico, solo es acero bambú y silicón. No se derrama y se ve increíble simplemente se ve muy muy bien yo compré la de 20 Oz para el uso diario. Deberían empacarlo mejor ya que llego en un sobre y los de paquetería luego no son tan cuidadosos.

Wer eine perfekte Trinkflasche in einem super schönen Design haben will, die sogar noch nachhaltig ist, der ist hier GENAU richtig. Ich liebe diese Flasche und habe sie seit dem ersten Tag immer dabei. Ob im Büro, unterwegs oder in der Freizeit. Sie passt überall hin. Der Deckel und die Flasche sind aus einem sehr hochwertigem Edelstahl gefertigt und liegen super in der Hand. Zusätzlich gibt es noch eine Holzapplikation im Deckel die das Design wirklich sehr schön abrundet. Das Holz behandle ich gelegentlich mit etwas Olivenöl um es geschmeidig zu halt. Nur die Dichtung im Deckel ist aus Gummi welches aber absolut geschmacks- und geruchsneutral ist. Das Einzige was mich ein wenig stört ist das Quietschen beim Öffnen oder Schließen der Flasche. Im Büro oder bei Meetings sorgt das schonmal für den ein oder anderen irritierten Blick. Leider reduzierte ein Lieferwagen mitten in einer Fußgängerzone im schönen Maastricht das Fassungsvermögen der Flasche um exakt 124ml in dem er, ohne danach anzuhalten, über die mir aus dem Rucksack gerutschte Flasche fuhr. Das war ein sehr dunkler Moment in meinem Leben. Überraschenderweise war die Flasche nach der Attacke immer noch voll funktionsfähig und nach wie vor absolut dicht! Der Deckel ließ sich ab- und aufschrauben wie am ersten Tag. So konnte ich den Ausflug (mit leicht reduzierten Wasservorrat :-) ) doch noch entspannt beenden. Fun fact: Nachdem das Malheur in Maastricht passiert war postete ich mein Leid auf Instagram und markierte Kleen Kanteen auf dem Foto ohne jeden Hintergedanken. Nach 10 Minuten hatte ich eine Nachricht von Kleen Kanteen erhalten, dass sie mir eine neue Flasche zukommen lassen wollten! - Eine neue Flasche ist unterwegs zu mir. Tipp: Sollte jemanden mal etwas ähnliches wie mir mit seiner Flasche passieren habe ich einen super Trick: Komplett mit Wasser auffüllen und die Nacht über ins Eisfach - fertig. Ein paar Knicke bleiben, aber wir bekommen schließlich auch mit der Zeit Falten.

Tout est dans le titre. Bonne contenance, peut être rangée dans un sac, passe sous le mitigeur des toilettes au bureau (contrairement à certaines gourdes), solide, jolie, sobre.
