Although it claims to be silver and maybe the butterfly stop is (as that is the only thing that is stamped 925 sterling silver)The rest is certainly not.As with many other people, I have the nickel allergy, so before I ordered, I have read the comments and people who say they have nickel allergy did not have any problems, so I though, why not give it a try, what's the worst that can happen.Well all people had no problems, besides me. When it's not silver, I get the rash and fluid bumps and then I get the lovely crystallized wound fluid when I take the earring out (gross I know right?)So in my opinion, something in that earring is not 925 Sterling Silver. To be fair, for that price I should have expected that.I must admit, they are lovely, maybe a slightly bigger than I would first expect, but never the less very lovely, for that it gets the stars, if they wouldn't look nice it would have gotten no stars. So for the people blessed that can wear anything they can, go ahead an buy them, they are worth it.I can't wear them for more than half a day before I would scratch my earlobes off, so for the people who would have the allergy in the way that I have it (i.e. can't hold coins or pens with the metal clips for to long before getting fluid bubbles) they would look pretty on you for a few hours.

I bought a pair of these in a different colour option from pewter hooter last year. I’ve had no problems with them at all, I have sensitive ears and need to wear sterling silver and I can wear these 24/7. The jewel is a good size and they look pretty & sparkly. I’d definitely buy them again both for myself and as a gift.
