Vgate iCar 2 Mini OBD2 II Bluetooth Car Diagnostic Scanner Torque Android(Black+Orange)

Does what is says and the Android App is on the CD just need to Bluetooth it across to the phone. Took a couple of tries to pair with my phone but after that it works fine.

It connects easily to my android phone and works reasonably well with the Torque app.There are occassional dropouts but nothing too bad and it could be the phone also running sat nav and dashcam apps at the same time that is to blame.My only major complaint is the failure of this device to auto wake from the auto sleep mode when the ignition is turned on. It is just a bit fiddly to reach under the dashboard to press the on button every time. I have not needed to unplug and re-plug the device like some other users have mentioned.I'd give it 4 stars if it would auto-wake

It took a few seconds to link to the phone first time 30 maybe. After that its faultless no issue with drop outs. Does still take 15 seconds to connect but works fine. Came in a nice box well packaged. I'm happy this seems to be a good product. I was warned off buying cheap and the range is huge from £5 to £100 to do exact same job. Vgate was a recomended brand and I'm happy to say I'm glad I paid more than the minimum for something plugged into the electrics of my car.

Difficult to fault it. In fact i cant. Plug it in, connect over blutooth or wifi and away you go. You can leave it plugged in as it'll go in to a low power state after something like 30 minutes, just press the button on the front to fire it back up. Allowed me to solve a problem with my zafira in minutes, so worth the cost for that alone.

Beware if you own a Volvo car - this product will not identify and enable you to clear engine codes! This issue may also apply to other car manufacturers - you will need to check with your manufacturer. After purchasing the product and failing to get it to work on my 2008 XC90 D5, I discovered through forums that Volvo use their own, brand specific codes which require a special code reader (a Vida DICE reader that requires you to install software onto a computer in order to view and clear engine codes) which is considerably more expensive. Given this was the main purpose of me buying the product, I am giving it one star as this should be mentioned in the description. In terms of the other features, by installing the "Torque (Lite)" app on my Android phone (which is free but comes with adverts), I was able to view a lot of data in real time such as revs, air temperature, GPS heading, acceleration, height, coolant temperature (the list goes on and on). The instructions to set up the product are written in poor English (ie. translated from Chinese) but the instruction card comes with screen shots and was easy to follow - all the steps matched up to my phone settings and I was connected in under a minute. If it had worked on my Volvo it would have got 5 stars for price and ease of use.

Works a treat. Bought this to replace a cheap clone device that wouldn't work with FAPLite. Had to delete the old device from my phone before pairing this device and launching FAPLite. Device was picked up straight away and connected to my 2005 Peugeot 407 2.0hdi ECU. Will now have to install the full version of FAP to get the most from it.

Works well with my Chevrolet Orlando aka Zafira C :) and Android apps :)You can buy a much more cheaper dongle but if you want a quality and compatibility with most common app's go for it.Also switching off timer and power button are great. I can reach and press it - no need to even watch in that direction :)
