Fit perfectly when mounting M.2 into laptop and wanted to try and reduuce chance of over heating.
Perfect for the intended use. I used this when installing a Crucial MX500 M.2 into my laptop. It was the first time I'd ever actually used an M.2 form factor drive and after some research the only real drawback seemed to be that they run hot so I thought I'd get this as a preventative measure - as I was installing into a laptop with little airflow over the area of the drive (It might not be needed in a pc with plenty of airflow). I used the thicker thermal pad, had to trim it down using the markings to get the shorter size, and it made good contact without too much pressure. My thinking is that the heat from the drive will now take advantage of the thermal dissipation tricks built into the laptop motherboard. The drive doesn't seem to be generating a significant heat spot notable from the keyboard side so I'd say it's working as expected. The packaging was a pretty clever way to keep costs down too, as it used standard ram module two-part plastic casings, with a foam insert.

Adequate performance but there are better alternatives
I ordered this thermal pad to use on an overheating m2 ssd that was reaching 74 degrees. You get 2 thermal pads of different thickness (1.5mm and 0.5mm) You are supposed to use this on the underside of the ssd so that it touches the pcb or in my case the copper heatplate under the ssd so that the heat dissipates that way.The 1.5 mm strip is used if your ssd has no chips on the underside (single sided), the 0.5mm strip is used if your ssd has chips on the underside as well (double sided). It seems this product is specific to the m2 adaptor card that Silverstone makes, or other adaptor cards that the m2 slot is quite low in relation to the pcb.In my laptop (alienware 17r3) the distance from the m2 slot to the copper heatplate is not that low profile. Even putting both thermal pads (2mm thickness in total) on the underside of the ssd, it still does not make contact with the heatplate so performace is not optimal. Even so it has dropped the temperature around 6 degrees under heavy load which means that the ssd does not overheat and does not throttle.Thermal conductivity is rated at 4W/m.k which is not exceptional by any means. There are thermal pads with better thermal conductivity you can buy and cut to strips yourself. In the end this product works but there are better alternatives. I have since ordered another thermal pad with better coductivity that I can cut and apply in layers so i can eliminate the gap between the ssd and the copper heatplate.

Used it to conduct heat from a 960 pro in my xps 15 laptop to be extra safe - worked a treat!

No improvement for me.
Using with an Alienware M15 as the NVME was reachinh almost 90’c. Unfortunately an improvement isn’t that noticeable so far.

Schneller Versand und alles wie beschrieben.Die Pads sind selbst für eine normale M.2 SSD zu lang, daher kann man problemlos ein gutes Stück davon mit einer Scheere anschneiden. Dieses kann man in der mit gelieferten Box für spätere Zwecke aufheben.Der Pad selbst hält gut auf der SSd und tut was er soll. Durch den Kontakt mit dem Gehäuse im Dell XPS 15 ist die Wärmeleitung gegeben.

mSATA SSD用に購入
SANDISK SDMSATA-512G-G25Cを購入し、Latitude E7250に搭載したところノートPCの底面に手をかざすと標準搭載にモノよりアツアツで心配になり購入。製品はM.2サイズなので、mSATAでは当然サイズが合いませんので、0.5mmの方をLatitude E7250のスロットサイズに合わせてカットして使用。透明プラフィルムと青色の離型フィルムを剥がして使います。ひんやりした手触りで柔軟性があり、熱さまシートのよう(笑)アイドル時27度、Crystal DiskMark中44度。効果の判りづらい製品と思いいますが、PC底面の体感温度も少し下がった気がするのでうまくマザーボード側に熱が逃げているのかな?
