Yeah, it is a great little DVD player although there are some features on it that I have not tried yet. That will get done in time. It also works perfectly with my Samsung TV. Oh yeah, just to let everybody else know. On the DVD player menu onscreen, go to Settings and set the screen size from 16:9 Normal to 16:9 Full. That way, anyone can enjoy their DVD's recorded in 4:3 format without the pictures going off the edge of the screen.

OK, OK, I'll cave in. After poor experiences of Samsung phones and repairing other people's crappy Samsung TVs, I bought this because it was the right price. And you know what? It's excellent. It plays video from memory sticks and USB hard drives more smoothly than my expensive and wazz-poor Humax box. The Samsung can also cope with far more codecs (ie types of video file format) and plays in much higher definintion. It navigates very easily, looks good. It's a great design for photo and video browsing. No internet or Smart TV support but hey, I'm very pleased.

bought this to replace a sony dvd player that stopped working on sound after 3 months.. needed a compact to fit the shelf in the unit and this is the same size as the sony at a realistic price. This unit is excellent. I have only had it a week but am really pleased with the simplicity of setting it up. It was so simple that I had it playing a disc within a couple of minutes.My only gripe is that there is no on/off light . SAsfor everything else, it is superb

May I say that this in many ways is a five star item. What lets it down in my view is the failure of the unit to have an LED to say that it is on! Hence the loss of a star.I purchased it for use with our new Samsung TV, which it matches with perfectly and the remote for both integrated straight away. Set up is a doddle, just connect up and the intuitive menu's lead you through the process of use. The enclosed manual is basic, but you need little more and there is a full web based manual in the unlikely event that you require it.I don't need the USB port as I have similar on my TV. All around, good value DVD/Blueray player for those of us on a tight (ish) budget. Does the trick for me.Recommended.

At a nice price this Blu-ray player met my needs and also gave me the option of displaying what is on a USB thumb drive. My only gripe is the lack of any indicators on the box. Is it powered up? Is it online or in standby? You can only tell by looking at the screen. But what if your HDMI cable goes to a HDMI switch? Surely a couple of leds isn't too much to ask?

Everything works as advertised and the device has played all formats as stated. The Samsung user guide could be more than just a "quick-start" guide though. The unit comes with loads of great features but with no indication of how to use them.

Nice and neat . I like the way the controller also works the TV

I’ve had no issues with this so far - it seems a pretty solid product.
