The cockroach takes it to the nest and infects others. Also cocroaches feed on carcasses of themselves, they can also get the bates if they feed on the dead cocroaches.It's quite effective if placed at the right places. You may also try the smoke insecticide, these are most effective as you will have to vacate the treated room(s) for some lenghty hours but the smoke penetrates everywhere.Hope this help.Best of luck.
