Work well on the pumpkin (tested a few out on pulling slivers ribbons of skin & flesh off)
Purchased for Pumpkin carving.Compared to other mini clay loop tools, in the short time of ownership these have performed surprisingly well, my other mini loops (another brand) wouldn't cut through melted butter, however these seem to work well on the pumpkin I tested a few out on pulling slivers ribbons of skin & flesh off early season pumpkins easily...I may hone (sharpen) a few but initially impressed, I will be recycling my old mini loops so I know I can carve, cut & scrape with confidence, ..not tried on clay yet but I have high hopes.Finish where the heads are glued to the metal heads could be better thus 4 stars instead of 5, I have wood glue handy & ready in case they come off, I'm a tad wary the ends are "bitty" & tatty with rough wood, but if they hold up over time I'll re-assess or simply take some sandpaper to them, however they would impress me more if they looked as good in the picture as in real life, I want all my kit to be of product photo quality as standard, this is how they advertise goods, thus that is what you should get! (mere seconds to correct & smooth).

Simple tools
Bought these for pumpkin carvin as this is what amazon recommend in the search. They are a bit too flimsy for pumpkin carving but I gues they should be good for pottery.

Great Quality!
These are great for sculpting with. I'm working with Chavant medium clay and these are strong enough to work smoothly with the clay. Wooden handles are very strong, are a bit light but easy to carry. The metal is sturdy in the wood and I don't seem to worry if they will come out, they feel very strong in the wood. They are nice and sharp too. Great variety too with the sizes of the tools. I didn't think I would use the curved ones but I've found I use them more! They are great for working tricky areas, like corners. They came in a packet that can easily be used as a carry case too.

Not the best
Ok product, not the best. Packing it came in made it look as if it had already been used. When I used one of them the metal came away from the wood and is now flimsy to use

Great For Cakes
I use the tools for removing buttercream from cakes to make a terrazzo style cake. They suit me fine for this purpose!

Very good tools. I marked with 4 stars
Very good tools. I marked with 4 stars, because even 6 different shapes there are close in the cutting. All of them ends with round shape, but I need something with more right angle or 45 degree.

Must have tools. I use them to carve plaster ...
Must have tools. I use them to carve plaster, so they started braking due to the pressure I putting on them. But one day I took them apart, I fix them one by one and this time I reinforced them with coated metal wire and strong tape tightly around each tool. Now they could carve marble so strong they are. I understand these are probably designed for modelling plasticine or wet clay, so I am not surprised I have broken one by one on hard plaster. 5 stars to you.
