Superb, top quality, product
The media could not be loaded. My son has had a Ninja blender for a couple of years and, while I've been putting up with cheap supermarket branded blenders that keep breaking down, he's been urging me to buy a Ninja. After my third £20 blender, within a year, failed (the German manufacturer admitted there was a fault with the first two) I gave up - and then my son sent me a link for this one. Even though it carried an offer price tag, it was still four times the price of the cheapie, but I didn't think twice.... I bought it immediately, and I have not regretted it.I forwarded the link to my sister, who is our 90 years old mother's main full-time carer, but by the time she bought it (a week or so later), the offer price had increased by £10 - but it was still a bargain. As I write, I am caring for our mother and this blender is an absolute boon. It is sturdy and powerful, and makes perfect pureed food for a very old lady who has great difficulty swallowing anything - even liquids. The Ninja's control panel looked a bit daunting at first, compared with a simple cheap blender, but operating it for the first time was simplicity itself. It can cope with copious quantities of food, reducing them to a puree in seconds. It is rather noisy, but we can put up with that. My sister and I bulk cook meals for our mother, and if this blender does the job, and stands the test of time, we don't care about the noise. The only thing that would better it, is if it came with a smaller container (say 500ml) as well, for when we want to blend single quantities of fruit etc, for immediate consumption. The 'blend' in my photos is chicken, potato, leeks, peas, and green beans - hence the colour - and there's plenty more in the freezer. It was a perfect texture, even for a baby.

Excellent quality feel to it and very powerful
Excellent quality feel to it and very powerful. The cups are well designed as the flap covering the drinking spout locks into the lid so it doesn't need holding out of the way nor fall on your nose whilst drinking. As others have said, its pretty loud i guess but not a problem unless your trying to make a smoothie at 5am (you will be unpopular). The feet have suckers so its nice and sturdy on a suitable surface. I have used it for green smoothies and it makes a smooth drink out of celery, kale, peppers and even carrot. Dont be thick like me and turn it upside down to get the last drop out as the blade fell out. Its supposed to come out, it was my fault. Sharp blades so be careful, as cut my finger rushing to clean it. My fault again. Such a good purchase, it encourages you to use it and make healthy drinks. Oh and the jug is pretty big so you can make four 500ml drinks easily for everyone. Not tried the second blade that screws direct to a cup but have no doubt it will be good.

Excellent machine - exactly what I wanted - highly recommended
I had a similar Nutri Ninja which just died after a few years of daily heavy usage with frozen fruit, so I already knew that I wanted to replace it with a Ninja with a jug. One of the issues with my previous Ninja was that the cup sizes available for the machine were only small (unlike a Nutri bullet which can fit a wide range of cup sizes, the internal thread on the cups means that the cups are not all interchangeable on a Ninja). The cups on this are huge meaning I can easily make a smoothie for breakfast without struggling to get enough in. Having the jug is great for doing smoothies for the whole family which we do at the weekends.I thought the IQ function would be unnecessary but it is actually really helpful to have the machine controlling the initial pulses and how long to run the machine for to get a good blend. As with the 'turbo' button on 1990s computers, I imagine that everyone uses the 'smooth boost' function so probably not worth adding the button for it!I thoroughly recommend this machine. It blends perfectly, it has a compact base which can stay on the worktop all the time, the build quality is excellent and it is as simple as locking the cup/jug on and pressing a button and walk away while it does it's job... so simple.

Great smoothie maker!
Great affordable smoothie maker. The resultant smoothies are not as smooth as some of the more expensive models, but the price is also 1/5 of them too, and to be honest, you won't notice the difference by drinking it. I love its Auto-IQ, basically you just press one button and come back in about 90 seconds to get your smoothie. It is loud, pretty loud, but all blenders are anyway. If you plan to use it as a kitchen blender though, I don't think much point. It does not have enough accessories to slice or make strips, etc. The jar is way too big for making salad sauce too. If you blend anything oily, the fact that it is made of plastics makes it harder to clean than its competitors that feature glass jars/bowls.

Powerful and robust but extremely noisy!
I got the duo blender after Boxing day and I was surprised by the build quality. It will blend anything without a problem. I use the extractor blades each morning to prepare a banana, apple, pear, blueberry, oats and almond milk smoothie on the smooth setting. It is excellent. Also I used the large jug and the cutting blades to prepare creme soup. I just put all the ingredients in the jug and press the LOW setting and in about 35 seconds the soup is ready. The only problem I found with the product is that is extremely noisy. I don't think there is any sound insulation in the product. This is a bit of a problem as I need to be at work by 6 a.m. therefore I need to prepare my smoothie early in the morning, waking up everyone in the house lol.
