Works as it should
Dog: 80lb Am Staff Pitbull TerrierFeeding schedule: 3 times dailyAmount: 3/4 cup per meal increasing to 1cup per meal when he gets back to 70lbs where he should be.Food: PurinaOne dry dog foodTL/DR: Works for my larger dog. Setup wasn't effortless, but didn't take long to figure out. Could use better instructions.First, finding something I thought would probably work for me took a little bit of reading about this and other products and some googling. I would like to use all of these automatic feeders and then re-write the product descriptions. Most of these seem to be oriented toward cats and small dogs. Important product details about portion size and how the mechanisms handle different types of food are hard to find or omitted entirely. It seems like most of the equipment makers are trying to make as few promises as possible as to the suitability of their products for different sizes and types of food.To set up the portions, I calculated what I thought the number of portions would make the 3/4 cup amount I wanted. Set up a feeding for one minute from the current time. Let the feeder go through it's cycle. Measured the amount of food dispensed. Adjusted the number of portions on the feeding and set it to dispense in one minute. I repeated that process until I had the amount dispensed tuned to where I want it. Given the differing shapes and sizes of food bits from product to product this is probably the only way to accurately set the amount dispensed. The stat I would have liked from the dispenser makers is the max amount dispensed in one feeding and a minimum amount dispensed along with the amount of each increment. If the largest possible amount was too small, I knew I could set a double feeding since this model can handle more than 6 feedings. With a larger dog, I looked for the feeders with the largest bins or hoppers. I knew this one would be kinda small for what I needed it for. Also wasn't sure the dish was large enough. It comes with it and attaches to the base so it was somewhat important that it be large enough. In use it hasn't been too bad. I have to fill it around three times a week. A larger bin that would hold hold a larger amount of food, say a 35lb sack, would be my ideal. If someone had multiple large dogs, they'd want to keep looking, buy one for each dog or hack something together. It's possible you might find a larger feeder at a farm and home store, but I haven't found one yet. If this feeder keeps working, I'll eventually graft a larger container onto the top of the hopper to increase the capacity to where I want it.Overall, not a bad product and it has worked reliably so far. I don't have to worry about feeding my dog on time or not getting the portions the same. If it were larger, had better directions, and had been easier to figure out it it would work before I bought it, I'd give it five stars. Overall, it's a solid 4 star product. It's serviceable, but could be better.

Easy and reliable
I bought this feeder so that we could use it when we go on short weekend trips so that we do not have to have someone come feed the animals. It is also great if you have an animal that loves eating breakfast before you get up for the day. I have it set to feed at 6:30 am for breakfast and I no longer get woken up by my dogs for breakfast. It is very reliable. I have been using it for a few months now and have had no issues with the food not dispensing on the set times.

YES. JUST YES.
So it's just me and my dog at home and I work 7 hours a day, which means my poor puppy wouldn't normally eat unless I'm there. With this automatic feeder, he's able to get a little snacky snack during the day without me which keeps him happy, occupied, and gives him something to look forward to each day. The lock that keeps the top portion connected to the blue bottom on mine did break (but I have to admit, I think it was my fault). Either way, it's held together with some tape and still working like new. I also have it scheduled to feed him breakfast and dinner at the same time everyday, which helps keep him on a healthy routine. It's wonderful and ensures that I never lose track of time or feed my cute little puppy too late. I also love the blue because it matches my home decor perfectly! I would buy this over and over and over again.

Works well but has an issue
My cat loves it and it dispenses the amount I want it to. The only problem is that the dish doesn’t stay attached and my cat is constantly moving it so sometimes the food is dispensed on the floor.

Does what it says!
I got good April 19th 2023. Today is July 8th, 2023. I set it, it feeds perfectly. No complaints until now. It’s not even been 3 months, and the display fades off no matter what I do as if it’s powering down. I have unplugged it from the device, from the wall, and reconnected everything. Again, same thing. I don’t want to have to resort to batteries because they don’t even last a week and that’s ridiculous. This thing is so low power, batteries should last way longer.

Great for large dog
I have a 70-ish pound Golden Retriever. I feed her regular kibble, not large, so that she eats slower. This feeder has worked perfectly for us! I set it to feed one cup, twice a day. Programming was not intuitive to me, but totally doable. This feeder brings peace of mind at times when I am held up late ate work.

It works great
I have been having issues with my cat waking me up at all hours of the night because he simply just wants to eat all the time. I was feeding him his food twice a day at the time; since buying this I set it to distribute his food 4 times throughout the day/night. It took him about 2 weeks to fully adjust but now he rarely wakes me up for food, he waits by the feeder around feeding time instead. I found it fairly easy to program and it has not had any issues with clogging or malfunctioning. I highly recommend this product. My cat currently eats a prescription diet food called Royal Canin - Fiber Response. For this specific food 4 portions = 1/4 cup. So I have it set to give him 2 portions, 4 times a day so he will have eaten a total of 1/2 cup in a 24 hr period.I strongly encourage people to let it run a couple times at first, just manually let it dispense, before leaving it to feed your cat. Measure how much the portions are with your specific cat food. As different foods will probably need to have different portion sizes to equal the amount you want. I just kept dispensing 1 portion at a time manually, until I filled up 1/4 cup.The instruction manual will say 3 portions = 1/4 cup for most kibbles, but please measure it yourself as this was not accurate for my cat's specific kibble size.

Saved my sleep
My cats used to harass me in my sleep every morning until I got up to feed them. They pawed my face, meowed at me, licked my hair, knocked things off my nightstand, nibbled my plants. Now they just wait for the feeder to activate, and after they eat, cuddle sweetly with me.I had a bit of a hard time programming it (the English instructions are a little unclear). There are probably simpler models out there. But for the price, and the improved morning sleep, it was totally worth it.
