Mad Catz C.T.R.L.i Mobile Gamepad - Gloss Black (IOS)

I bought this to use with my Apple TV 4 which I use for gaming and emulation via Provenance. I was on the lookout for a decent controller but the Nimbus and Hori were way too expensive especially seeing as I needed two for multiplayer.I wasn't expecting much from this controller but I've been pleasantly surprised. It's very well built and feels nice in the hand. The controls are responsive with very little input lag over Bluetooth. There's just the right amount of give in the analog sticks too and they're stiff enough that they are acceptable to use on older games such as Street Fighter 2 or Mario. This is great seeing as the DPad isn't up to much but it works ok if you need it.The only downside to this controller is the lack of L3 and R3. I can't see myself using them anyway but it'd be nice to have them all the same.It's great value for money and the added bonus of the phone adapter (which is incredibly sturdy and large enough for my 6S Plus) is an added bonus and gives it an edge over some of the other Apple TV compatible controllers.If you're looking for an Apple TV 4 controller, look no further. Grab it while it's cheap!!

Very pleased with this. Connected to iPhone 6s with no problems at all and works perfectly with GTA San Andreas. Build quality seems sound and the stand for the phone seems relatively sturdy. The app for it is very good and gives you an up to date list of games that are compatible and directs you to the iTunes Store. It is worth noting that not every game is going to be compatible, so I would advise downloading the app and checking the games you want to play will work before purchasing this controller.

No support app and batteries only stay connected for ten seconds, however there is a wired port behind the batteries that only seems to work when plugged into the mains so no power packs.

Not a bad controller by any means however, it's not a great controller. Powering up and connecting through up no issues but when it came to actually playing something, the response was creating lag that just seems to get worse as you try to play.The app that thry suggest you download no longer seems to be available so there's no way to moniter the performance of the controller or adjust the mapping which is a problem for my personal purchase. Every button seems to be mapped correctly until you hit the right bumper which seems to share a mapping with the x button.Like i said, its not a bad controller, it works more than it doesn't. If you're looking for a real solution however, and care about your gaming experience, expand your budget to something a little more than £16.

I love this controller.I'm a huge game geek, I currently game on Ps4, PC, Wii U, Xbox One, 3DS and now IOS. I've only fairly recently discovered that there are some fantastic (console quality) games to be played on mobile these days but let's face it, for the most part, touchscreen controls suck. So I decided to pony up for a controller. After much review reading, I decided to go for the Mad Catz C.T.R.L.i, I use a Mad Catz R.A.T 7 gaming mouse on my PC which I upgraded to from a R.A.T 3 so I already knew that this company make quality products. This controller is no exception, despite not feeling as premium as the ps4's dual shock 4 and the Xbox one controller, it still feels strong enough and well made. I had slight concerns about the phone clip being a little weak when I first got it but after several months of use, those concerns have gone away. The battery life on the controller is fantastic, I could tell you how many hours it will last, as that will vary depending on the batteries you use but I am really impressed with how well it lasts.The are two reasons I have given this a 4 star and not a perfect 5. The first reason being the biggest let down, which I knew going in but still a let down, is that the analogue sticks aren't buttons (no L3 or R3 buttons) which for a controller that's got almost everything else you'd want, just seems a little stupid to have missed them off, especially considering the price of the controller, which is the second complaint I have about the controller. Whilst not technically being an issue with the controller itself, for the price of this, it would have been nice to see a completely full featured controller i.e, clickable analogue sticks and a rechargeable battery perhaps.All that being said, this is still a very good controller for all the things that it does get right and a solid choice for any mobile gamer looking for a more console like experience from their iPhone/iPad.

Top gaming action for those who prefer hands on action! Pairs with everything, great battery life and my aching teenage thumbs have returned- all good. A must buy for anyone who is fed up of touching a screen! Not just for the nostalgic, perfectly capable as a modern game controller also.

Wow I've actually found a controller that has a decent amount of iOS support I mean if your expecting it to work on every game then your crazy but I'm really happy with this
