These were an impulse buy when I spotted them whilst browsing, and I intended to save them until my grandson's 6th birthday in October. Unfortunately he saw them before I put them away and asked "what's this, grandma?" so I gave them to him. I'm glad I did, because he and his 12 years old cousin have such fun playing with them around the house and garden when they meet up, and it won't be long before his 2 years old sister will be able to play hide and seek with him too. I'm looking forward to the summer when we can use them in the copses in the pocket park, and around the block..The box says they have a range of up to 6km (over 3 miles) which they may well have, but I bought them for the purpose of childsplay so I don't want or need them to work over such a distance. However, I think they could be very useful and a lot of fun for campers in the wilds, or for kids on an adventure holiday where they are on set courses, or on a golf course maybe.... places where you want to speak to someone out of hearing's reach, but not wanting, or able, to yell or use a mobile phone (signal issues and cost, etc). Also, they are very small and light, so fit easily in trousers/shorts pockets, or in a shirt's front pocket.The two handsets came packed tightly together like 'sardines', in a strong colourful box and, although they are serious walkie talkies - suitable for adults too - they are a perfect size for small hands. I would have liked to have one of each colour in the box so siblings could have their own handset (no arguing over who broke one, etc), instead of having to choose a pair of red or a pair of yellow. But they did come with different coloured lanyards, so they can be hung from the neck if desired. This will determine which belongs to whom.With just one push to talk, they are very child friendly, and the sound is good. I hate battery operated 'toys' and, although each hand set takes 3 AAA batteries (not supplied), I chose to charge them via a USB cable (also not supplied) and a smart plug. They did, however, come partly charged and worked for a short time straight out of the box, so not too disappointing if you forget to buy batteries before giving them to kids as a present. I didn't even need to change the channels. So, they serve my purpose, and I only wish I'd them as a child 60 years ago, when we had more freedom to roam wild when we went out to play further away from the front door. Oh..... and they each have a built in LED light too - great for under the duvet, and for night time communication from bedroom to bedroom!

Purchased for a 5 year old. I did not want something which would be too big for his hands or the button to call would be difficult to push. They are really easy to work. The sound quality is fine for play and goes far enough. Gave one less star than the full five because it was a gift and I thought the packaging was a little cheap - they were squashed in a tiny box with only protection of a clear bag. First impressions of the product was not great, but they have proved to be very functional for a 5 year old. If you are not bothered about packaging, these are great!

I bought it for my 3 years old daughter but I must admit that it was what I wanted to have when I was a child and never got. So now as a parent myself I couldn’t resist it when searching for a Christmas present! We already tried it with my husband to see if it works and it’s such a great fun for adults too. So for now we will make a good use of it before my girl gets it for Christmas ;) we tried it outside our house and it works equally well as indoors. Size is just right for those little hands and it’s another way to keep them occupied by non high technology things like iPads and iPhones they are surrounded nowadays. We much prefer this form of entertainment so I’m sure it will serve us well.

Great product and easy to use!My kids just love it and so do I. I bought it for my daughter's birthday present. It was her favourite out of all the presents.The actual walkie talkie is very good size. It has different channels so you can set a channel to make it clear for yourself.You can also set it to auto voice detection so basically when one person speak their voice go over to the next person. This option is very useful for young children as they might not know how to press the button. Also there is mini light which adds to fun.All in all...great product for kids and adults to enjoy in the fun.

These are super tiny and cute. I was expecting them to feel junky but they're actually not too bad. As expected, batteries aren't included so make sure you pick some up, in advance. The range is good enough for kids to play around the house or garden with.

All the kids love walkie talkies! I have bought this as a Christmas present. (Yeah I like to start early).The good thing about these is that they are small and fit perfectly in little hands.Easy to find channel and even have built in flash light.On example of my son I know the child it's intended for will have a lot of fun with it!They take 3 AAA batteries each (can use better rechargable).Great product!I would buy again!

I am so surprised how good these walkie talkies are, I was expecting the usual toy type that you get from Argos. I find them to be much more superior than the walkie talkies you get in the stores, the range is excellent and with different channels, my son and I use them to communicate on the BMX tracks.Definitely getting them as Xmas gifts for my clan for nephew and nieces

Better than some but in some spots reception is poor. Bought to use with daughter in garden. Lots of features but instructions not that clear. Batteries we use don't seen the last long.
