The thumb bolts combined with the metal piece that distributes the pressure across the entire attachment point works so well you would think this was a factory item. The channel itself fits perfectly across the windshield gasket for a nice tight seal. In fact, it fits so well that when the bikini top is attached I wouldn't be surprised if the air noise coming from the windshield is actually lower than with the hard top attached. The bikini top attaches easily and I reattach this when I remove my bikini top so I don't have to worry about storing it. This slides into a sleeve of the top and attaches on with screw brackets that are already on the unit for the hardtop. this was super easy to install and worked perfectly with a nice tight fit and seal. The directions were easy to read and understand. If you aren't sure which you need call Bestop!
