Appear to be quite tough and will do all its meant to
I write this review based on my decades of experiences as a consumer, raising a family and purchase / use of many similar items. The binoculars are much smaller than I expected so are very suited to a three year old. Very likely to be too small for a 5 year old.The binoculars are made of a bright orange moulded plastic. There is no means of attaching a “ round the neck” strap but there is a very crude pouch that can be fed unto a belt. The pouch is as cheap and nasty an example that I have seen in a very long time.Just taking the binoculars from the pouch and putting them back in caused the pouch to split in an upper corner. There is an adjustment wheel which focus’ near and further. Not of much use really given the power of the binoculars but real enough to give the child a real life experience of using real binoculars.I like the “low light” orange yellow tint to the front.Overall, they are pricey for what they are but will suit my adventurous 3 year old granddaughter in spotting the sea monster. Passing the information via her walkie talkies and her photos of the “hunt”They should last a good while if looked after properly.

Fantastic first bins for a 9 year old.
Absolutely brilliant little binoculars. They were the first ones I bought for my 9yo son and he loves them. Used them myself as well while we've been out since I dont own any binoculars and I'm now looking at buying an adult set. We've had various toy binos over the years given to the kids as presents and they've always been completely useless. I was expecting something similar with these. These 8x21s are actually real binoculars! I dont yet have an expensive pair to compare them with but I can read the writing on ships on the lough I cannot even see with a naked eye.Provided you teach you child how to focus these, it's £16 well spent.

Nice cheap option for the first time user
Great little set bought for my granddaughter as her first set of binoculars to view nature. Simple operation for kids but yet to be able to confirm the sturdiness in use. Feels good and tough though.

Much better than expected
I bought these for my two year old grandson.I thought they would be more of a toy than actual binoculars. However they are surprisingly very good and sturdy. He actually uses them coping his grandfather And so do I sometimes! I am delighted with them.

Great binoculars, sturdy
Great binoculars, sturdy, magnification is good, however, if it's for kids, why eye cups/pieces doesn't come close enough to comfortably look through them even for me? And length like this should be mentioned in the description as well! Even when put at their closest, the eye cups are too far away for the age of kids it is aimed for. I'm sure everyone has different width between their eyes, but I've tested on a bunch of kids 5-7 years old and neither of them could look through both eye pieces comfortably. And most of their mums had the same problem too! Shame as product itself is very good!

Perfect for what I needed
Bought for my 3 year old who has an interest in binoculars after watching “let’s go for a walk” on bbc iplayer. Took them to Chester zoo brilliant to get a close up of some of the animals. Easy to focus obviously not absolutely amazing because they are only cheap and not professional ones.

Blurry in right lens
The item arrived in a nice pouch, and felt sturdy and robust. I'm glad I tried them out before giving to my son because the right lens was completely blurry, the left lens was fine, really clear in fact, and had the right lens been the same I would be giving this 5 stars. I did also look through the right lens with my left eye just to make sure it wasn't my eyesight, and I also refocused using the scroll wheel at the top, but still no better, so unfortunately I have had to return it for a refund.
