We had 34 carousel boxes of slides and they were taking up a lot (!) of space. We consolidated all but 7 of them into 14 of these boxes. They are sturdy, the perfect size, and, bonus, four of them fit perfectly into one carousel box - easy storage. When searching for storage boxes for 35 mm slides, these boxes did not come up. They are listed as coin storage. Suggest that Amazon include them in the search criteria for slide storage boxes. They are perfect and a lot less money than those listed specifically for slides.

I inherited some 12,000 35mm slides from my father along with my own 3,000 slides. That is a lot of slides to organize. These boxes are intended for 2"x2" cardboard coin holders, but will conveniently hold 140 standard 35mm slides. I cut up some 2" by 2.4" dividing tabs from card stock that I use to separate and identify the different groups of slides in each box. A big plus is that 35 of these boxes fit perfectly into a printing paper box when you stack the boxes on their ends. I stuck a label on the end of each box and can easily identify and pull out the box I need.

The product arrived as described. Dots in well with the flip coins.

If you are looking for a 2"x2" box, this is it! My concern was the smell some have. Also these are white inside, but coming from China you never know what chemicals are used..

Our slides take up quite a bit less space than the carousel trays we previously had those slides in.

These boxes are well made. They are actually pretty. My coin flips fit perfectly. They are good for many other uses too.
