Electronics isn't my forté but even I can use this little beauty!This brilliant quality multimeter is going to come in very handy indeed! - even the rubbery feel of this gives you confidence in its grip and that it's decent quality! - this tests:DC Voltage, AC Voltage, DC Current, AC Current, Resistance, Frequency, which I'm sure the professionals will know all about but for me, it's just a simple case of testing car batteries, AA and AAA batteries and other basic things that the average man will be able to do! - a 9v battery is also supplied which is a nice touch, most companies don't offer that with electrical goods!The unit is quite bulky to be honest but I think that's a good thing, the screen gives a very large and clear read out but having said that it's quite lightweight so the balance is just right! - The input selection is very simple, steady and uncomplicated and I also like the stand that's attached which folds back into the unit, auto ranging is going to be great for the likes of me, just simply choose the voltage and start testing and it will automatically give you the correct range and simply give you a reading back!All in all this is a great quality product, very well designed and manufactured, a very competitive price compared to others i've seen so it's a 5 star rating from me! *****

Accurate and easy to use.

I was looking for a meter that is not too pricey to replace my old one and came across this one. The packaging was nice and neat. When it arrived, the box looks solid and decent so it eases my worries that the item can get damaged while posting.The meter itself is solidly build and well designed for handheld and carrying to walk around the house. The screen is big enough to read, the dial in the middle is well designed even with my fat fingers and the buttons are good quality. I only tested a few functions but it was very simple to use even without reading the instructions.The instructions are not with packaging and I have to scan the QR code to download them. I didn’t scan the QR code when I first opened the box because I was very keen to try the meter. I was a bit nervous at the beginning without seeing any user manual, luckily it doesn’t need much of the instruction to get started using it. I think it will help if the meter come with a printed instruction.

I don't know if mine was defective or if it was just poor. I read all the great reviews and expected a great bit of kit but I found I struggled to get it to take measurements. It would take measurements for a while (sometimes 10 seconds, sometimes 20 or 30) but then just stop. To get it working again I'd turn the dial to another meter and back again and again it would work for a while then stop. And having to go online for the manual rather than included a small printed one is just stupid and horribly inconvenient.After returning this one I bought one with more functions and additional attachments for £5 less and it works great. Maybe I just got a bad unit, but I find the reviews I read on this device hard to believe.

I am not completely happy with this item. It is what it says but warns of electric shock and lists risks to avoid. When I tried to connect 9 volt battery it gave off a pungent and unpleasant smoke. Battery terminals give no polarity. Only really need battery/mains voltage and circuit check. A lot of meter is for very much more technical stuff. Capacitance, resistance, etc. Good value for the technically minded and professional I would think.

This is a very good purchase; the quality of the build and the clear display really is excellent.I am just starting out in electronics, so I wanted something that was not too expensive but was simple to use.As far as I can tell, this multimeter for me is ideal.The manual is available as a separate download, which is a great money saving idea as only those that need it will download it and there is a reduction in paper/production costs.I am just beginning in the world of electronics, but to be fair to the manufacturer, I just wanted to pop a few words up about the device.The dial to select the input is very firm to operate and shows no sign of accidentally slipping and the inclusion of a stand on the back is great (this folds back into the multimeter).It appears to be very accurate as an AA battery, fresh out the packet, gave me a reading of 1.57v, which is as it should be.I am sure I will get a lot of use out of this little fella!

This is a really well built meter which could handle being dropped on the floor without doing any damage.It has a large screen which can be backlit - very useful when working in low light.Comes with a 9v battery which clicks into place rather than the more traditional 2 - way connection.The meter measures AC and DC voltage (V), current (A), frequency (Hz), resistance (Ω), capacitance.Perfect for all your DIY jobs at home.Another great product from Ragu/Crenova!

The meter does exactly what it says. It has all the functions required. It's easy to use with a clear display. The instruction manual is online but would have preferred it in the box but no big hardship.
