Nice motherboard with plenty of features
Bought this for my project of building a newer PC to replace my 12 year old desktop. Decided to switch to AMD so had to do a lot of research on which motherboard to select as there are a lot of motherboards out there at a range of prices and with a variety of different features. Chose the Asus TUF Gaming B650 plus wifi as it had good reviews in general and it has a lot of features. It has built in wifi, which was essential for me and this has performed really well. I haven't had any problems with the onboard wifi. The sound quality provided by the motherboard is crisp and clear. Could it be better, yes, but with the speakers I have and at this price you can't get much better. There are plenty of M.2 connections and they all have heat sinks to keep them cool and help them running correctly and not overheating. Also, there are numerous USB 3.2 connections available as well as Type-C so should be suitable for all. All-in-all this is a well built motherboard with a lot of features and is at a reasonable price now that AM5 boards have started dropping in price.

Built Like a Tank, Runs Like a Dream
I’ve been using the ASUS TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI with an AMD Ryzen 7000 chip, and it’s honestly one of the most solid boards I’ve worked with. Setup was smooth, and everything just worked—WiFi 6, DDR5 support, PCIe 5.0, and plenty of USB ports. The BIOS is clean and easy to navigate, and I love that it has BIOS Flashback in case things go sideways. The build quality feels premium, with chunky VRM heatsinks and a rugged design that fits the TUF branding. It’s not flashy, but it’s dependable and well thought out. I’m running it in a mid-range gaming rig, and it handles everything without breaking a sweat. If you want a board that’s reliable, future-proof, and doesn’t cost a fortune, this one’s a winner

Good Product, Easy to install
Brought for my partner who built his PC and he mentioned the ease of use, once you know where bits go. Looks great and built with durability in mind.

Don't buy this
Purchased twice. First time it arrived with RAM latches broken off. Thankfully Amazon customer support was great and sent out another one. Second one was fine, new PC build worked. Then my computer black screened. Over the course of a month it become more and more frequent until one day my computer wouldn't start. Took it to a PC repair shop after I tried all i could. They replaced the AM5 processor, the RAM, checked everything and determined it was a faulty motherboard. Won't be buying ASUS brand again. Now using a gigabyte and its great.

Good quality motherboard ticks most of the boxes, BUT...
Excellent build quality with a nice clean look and now a decent price. It has most of the features I need. For me Realtek 2.5Gb is preferable to an Intel 2.5Gb NIC (can suffer with disconnects) and Realtek ALC1200 audio preferable to the ALC4080 (can suffer with static/pops etc). The Wifi is a nice to have. Just about enough USB ports on the rear plate. I have it paired with a 7700X and Corsair 6000Mhz CL30 RAM. Everything seems totally stable within Windows with the 3042 bios as long as Memory Context Restore (MCR) is enabled. However with MCR disabled (the default) enabling EXPO 1 or 2 or Tweaked, memory @ 6000-CL30, results in: 1 - Approximately 1-in-20 cold boots, POST will not complete. The motherboard Q-LED displays a solid lit yellow Q-LED indicating a memory problem. Very occasionally I have to reset the bios to resolve this, which is a right PIA. I swapped out memory for some Kingston 6000-CL36 and it exhibits the same issues with EXPO enabled, so I'm thinking the problem is the Asus motherboard occasionally getting in a mess memory training. The fix is to enable MCR after a couple of cold boots of memory training completing successfully. 2 - The bios screen does not displaying on my 165hz MSI 2k monitor connected to my Nvidia RTX-4070 graphics card by display port, unless I enable CSM (which disables Resizable BAR). The fix is to not worry about resizable bar OR use HDMI ports which displays bios screen fine but restricts monitor to 144hz refresh rate. With MCR enabled the only remaining problem I have is very occasionally restarting the PC (after a windows update for instance), the motherboard hangs at POST; thankfully ctrl-alt-del resolves. So difficult to give more than three stars, as certainly a system builder needs experience (and spare parts) to work through the various foibles this motherboard throws up. Now I've managed this, very pleased with the speed and stability within Windows 11. UPDATE: increased rating to four stars as system is rock solid in Windows 11. 100% stable with 3222 bios. Just a very rare POST hang after a restart (resolvable by pressing ctl-alt-del); which weirdly does not do this from sleep or a cold boot.

Good motherboard
I’m very happy with this motherboard, I did order a msi b650 plus gaming WiFi but it had bent cpu pins and was bad quality but this motherboard has very good build quality and I would recommend it for a budget am5 build

Why I Stick with ASUS Motherboards
I've been choosing ASUS motherboards for years because they get the perfect balance between affordability and reliability. One feature that makes ASUS stand out for me is the BIOS interface. Whether you're a new pc user or someone who's been tweaking bios for a while it gets both covered. As for the installation process is just as smooth as my previous Asus Boards. I didn’t run into any problems. This particular model caught my eye because it includes two USB-C 3.2 ports. That was perfect for me. I can connect both my keyboard and my VR headset directly to my PC without any hassle. I had looked at other motherboards, but most only had one USB-C port, which just wouldn’t cut it for my needs. This ASUS motherboard with its dual USB-C 3.2 ports was the right choice for my setup!
