Nice sturdy griddle. Great value for money.
This pan has some weight to it, which is good as it retains the heat well. It's nicely made and great value for money.There are a few reviews saying that it rusts or things stick, but maybe they don't understand the process and importance of seasoning cast iron cookware. All unprotected cast iron will rust, no matter where you get it from, as this is the nature of the material. To stop this from happening it's necessary to add a coating to the surface, which in this case is an oil seasoning.The pan arrived with a wax coating on it and grey in colour, which is the natural colour of iron, so it was not seasoned. I removed the wax coating and seasoned the pan 5 times using light coatings of vegetable oil which were baked onto the pan and as you can see from my photos, this made the pan dark brown in colour. The coating needs to be maintained and harsh cleaning methods will remove it, leaving it susceptible to rusting. There are plenty of websites and videos explaining this process of seasoning and maintenance.If you want a pan that you can unpack, give a quick clean and then use then this is not the pan for you. However, if you want to enjoy the benefits of cooking in cast iron and you have the time and know how on maintaining one then this is great value for money.UPDATE: I've now had this pan for over two years and use it several times a week. It has developed a lovely seasoning over time and is definitely my favourite pan for adding a lovely grilled flavour to meat and vegetables. It's showing no signs of fatigue or wear, unlike the numerous coated pans I have owned over the years and I can honestly see this pan outlasting me! I've added an updated photo.

Awful
Very heavy, not non stick, washed and left to dry and within 1 day on the draining board was covered in rust , surface is very rough so very hard to clean , used Once to cook a steak and it’s stained , rusty , just got it out the cupboard to cook a steak and it’s a big rusty lump, it wasn’t even wet when I put it away . Used once now in the bin.waste of money.

Great pan at affordable price, here how to treat it:
I thought of writing this review to make justice to this item and to help other buyers to enjoy it. First of all, if you bought or are thinking of buying this pan, bear in mind that this is pure iron, a metal still unprocessed for cooking use. It will oxidise as soon and you put them in contact with water and leave it to dry by itself. But even if it's covered with rust you can still recover and treat it after a good scrub. This is because It doesn't have the chemical treatments to make it non-stick and ready to use straight out of the counter. But that's why we are buying it, right? That said, the process of treating is very simple and doesn't have to be messy . Here what to do:1. After unpacking it, give it a good and throughly scrub. Try to remove as much of the waxing coach as possible.2. Rinse and dry with a kitchen towel and put it on the stove top to dry the metal. When the heating starts, pour a bit oil enough to cover the whole pan. Spread it with paper towel. Soon a strong smell and smoke will start to rise. Quickly wipe the pan with paper towel and remove it from the fire. Keep wiping, the wax will keep coming out. This process shouldn't take more than few minutes as it gets very hot very quickly. Don't forget to wear protective gloves or tea towels. It's burning hot. Give it another wash and perhaps another quick scrub.3. Repeat process: put it back on the stove, pour oil, remove it it as soon as the smoke starts to rise, wipe the oil off. No need to wash again, but repeat the stove, oil, wiping process until no more wax, smoke or smell comes out. I did it 3 or 4 times. But this doesn't take more than 10 minutes. Now your pan is ready to be seasoned.4. Cool it down, spread oil all over it and put it in the oven at 200 degrees and don't open the oven until the pan is black. You can play with the temperature. I used the maximum heat for the last 30 minutes. It took me nearly 2 hours, but there will not be more smoke, just a bit of smell, unless you open the oven. When it is done let it cool with the oven closed.5. After each use, wash it, dry with a towel and place it on the stove top for few minutes, spread some oil when it's hot and wipe it out with paper. Let it cool before putting it away and it's ready to use again. Please check my pictures after the seasoning and after have used, cleaned and quickly reasoned it on the stove for few minutes.

Regrets. Pas du tout satisfaite
Mise en service compliquée. Malgré un suivi à la lettre de la préparation de la surface antiadhésive celle-ci n'a pas donné le résultat annoncé. Le nettoyage après grillade pas mieux. La poêle accroche, pas naturellement antiadhésive. je ne conseille pas !

Det är mycket viktigt att förbereda pannan. Detta står också på flera språk på den yttre förpackningen. Tyvärr är skrivningen mycket liten. Först måste pannan rengöras noggrant från vaxskiktet med varmt vatten och diskmedel. Det är bäst att använda en skursvamp för detta. Smörj sedan in och utvändigt med vegetabilisk olja och ställ in den i ugnen i 200 °C i cirka en timme. Efter att ha svalnat, torka bort överflödig olja.Panelen blir bättre med tiden om den behandlas på rätt sätt. Jag använder en induktionshäll. Pannan fungerar utmärkt där.

Solidna, masywna, wytrzyma wieki
Patelnia solidna i masywna, smaży się na niej świetnie. Jeśli ktoś kupuje patelnię żeliwną i myśli, że używa się jej jak teflonowej - to współczuję ignorancji. Taka patelnia wymaga zahartowania, a i nawet po tym nie powinno się jej zostawiać mokrej tylko po umyciu zawsze wysuszyć - np. podgrzewając na palniku, inaczej zardzewieje i jest to normalne. Produkt 1 klasa, może jedynie rączka powinna być nieco większa.
