I kayak alot, and enjoy taking my toddler along with me. But as a parent I was looking for a lifejacket that protected my son should the very worst happen. I wear a Personal Flotation Devise (PFD) that "assists" in buoyancy should you end up in the water but they do require some swimming competency on the part of the user, however as a responsible parent sharing his hobby with a young child a lifejacket such as this Marinepool is a must.It has plenty of soft buoyancy around the chest and neck (while the back is minimal) meaning it should maintain the child in a safe head up / face up position to prevent drowning even if unconscious (in theory). Its made to a high standard from very bright and durable material. Reflective strips, high quality webbing straps, solid clip buckle, heavy duty zip and the inclusion of emergency whistle all add to the confidence that this is a reliable and safe product for my child to wear when out on the water.Much to my son's amusement we did test the product close to shore, it worked as intended.

I took my 18-month-old for a trip on my friend's boat. This jacket is recommended for children weighing between 10-20kg and my daughter is 10kg. It was slightly large on her but it is very adjustable with various straps to keep it in place and a strap between the legs to make sure it doesn't slip off over her head. Her head was a little bit buried in the buoyant collar and she didn't like that aspect very much. However I felt confident that it would work if she happened to fall overboard.Given that this was one of the least expensive life jackets on Amazon, the quality is actually really good. The fabric is nice, and the buckles seem sturdy. It is absolutely perfect for occasional use on holiday etc. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to any parent whose children are going on water. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it...

Fits my 18 month old child fine, I hope it will last until next summer, we bought it in June. We especially liked the between the leg strap and the high neck pillow to ensure that he would be kept out of the water. I have to admit we have not tested it in water, but I rather hope it never gets to perform its function as the river is cold and the toddler might go off boating!

After a weekend of intense research I purchased this childrens buoyancy life jacket. My son was two and we wanted to take him with us on a sailing trip in Greece. Of course we had our concerns with safety on a sailboat with a two year old and this greatly relieved our fears.The lifejacket zips in the front as well as having another buckle in the front and a strap below to ensure that he does not slip out. The vest wraps completely around him and should he fall in the water, he would be turned right side up.We took him in the sea with this jacket while we were swimming and it worked perfectly and allowed for my son to fully enjoy the sailing trip. The lifejacket was comfortable for him and he did not dislike wearing it during the trip.Subsequent to this trip we also took him on a river boat trip on the Shannon in Ireland as well and felt very comfortable to bring him along and we were happy he could share these special trips with us. Something which would not be possible if we could not have as much confidence in his buoyancy lifejacket.

I bought 2 childrens life jackets and an adult one for myself and they are worth their weight in gold. I used them in the sea for the three of us for use with our dinghy. Within the first hour of being in the sea my 6 year old daughter toppled out of the dinghy as a wave broke. Whilst we weren't out far at all the life jacket helped her until I got to her. Once she realised she could swim with the life jacket on it was hard to reign her in!! These jackets gave me the confidence to go further out with the jackets on, even for myself who can swim well enough in the sea! I would say these are invaluable for children and adults alike when going out in the water. They fit great, are adjustable, very comfortable and do not hinder your movement in any way. These were also delivered very quickly from the company - all in all a great buy and money very well spent.

I ordered two of these for my twin grandchildren and they arrived a day before I was expecting them. They were not difficult to adjust to size and let the kids move about freely when they were on. The design looks good, with enough buoyancy in the right place to ensure they'll float face up. Don't know how durable they will be, but at that cost you can afford to replace them.

The actual product it's self is good quality and fitted my little boy well. It stays in place well and he seems comfortable when wearing it. The service i received was completely unacceptable, i deliberately order this jacket because it was the only one i could get on next day. It did not turn up, could not contact city link about it and then they said attempted delivery to try and cover their backs on the tracking info. It finally arrived 4 days late, and my little boy missed out on going kayaking with his dad. I will never use this company again in the future.

I purchased this for my grandson for when out on our boat. I’m very pleased with it. He is 21 months old but is big for his age (he wears age 2-3 clothing) and it fits very well & isn’t too bulky and has a crutch strap for added safety. He is happy to wear it and I think it will fit him for a good while.
