I can see down to the bottom of the garden or clearly across the road with it and indoors it illuminates a room better than the electric lights. It's small enough to fit in a pocket and light enough to carry for a long time. It feels like a quality piece of kit in your hand. The little anti-roll gadget is great because you can position it on a sloping surface and it stays put. It is heavy on batteries, but I do use it a lot and have it on the brightest setting, so I'm happy with that. No doubt if I used it on the lower setting, the batteries would last longer.
