This handle did not perform as I expected nor are there product details that highlight its operation. Basically, there is only a keyhole on one side which functions as the only way to turn the knob. Without the key, the handle on that side does not turn. Feels secure right? Wrong. The handle on the opposite sides turns whether the key is in or not and allows the door to open from the other side. I'm not sure what setting this might be useful for but it definitely is not what we were looking for. Returning today.

Seems to be great quality, but I had to return. From the lock side there is no way to open the latch without the key as the ring and post does not turn. So on one side, it operates as you would expect by turning the ring, but the lock side, only the keyhole can turn. seems like a recipe for for some sketchy situations.

Overall, this lock is perfect. Only issue is the need to always use the key to open it, as it locks automatically when closed. Pretty inconvenient, but luckily we use it on a door that is left open a majority of the time.

I had to place shims (about 1/4”) on one side of this lock to secure it to the door because it is too wide to fit.

If you need a door knob that doesn't stick out, this one is great!

The product no doubt is well made.I don't understand why the key side has a vertical knob in order to keep the two ferrules in s horizontal format and go through the latch BUT the opposite side has a horizontal knob position.Shouldn't they both be in horizontal positions?Please explain.
